Review: I was a customer of Dixie Gas for the six years I owned my home. To refill my propane tank used solely for the fireplace I had to go to the office and pay in advance based on the estimated percentage of gas remaining in the tank. After the first time they always told me I had a balance. When I asked them to apply the balance to my current payment they stated that couldn't be done. I sold the house November 12, 2013. I informed Dixie that the new owner was going to remain with Dixie. I then asked for a refund of my account balance. I was told I needed to talk to the book keeper who wasn't in. I called back later and she wasn't in. I left a number to call. She finally returned my called and asked for my current address to send a check to. That was the 3rd or 4th week in November. I made two more calls requesting the status of my refund and again the book keeper wasn't in. At my last call I informed them I would wait to the end of the following week for a check before I contacted the Revdex.com. This was mid December. To date I haven't received payment.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the balance I have been carrying for over five years paid to me.

On Nov. 4, 2013, [redacted] informed us she would be selling her house on Nov. 12, 2013. She said she would be leaving any gas remaining in the tank for the new owners. She also agreed the only refund she would be due would be an overpayment of $27.82. (Not sure where the $70.00 is coming from.) Customer has not been carrying a credit balance of $70.00 for over 5 years. Her credit balance occurred on Jan 18, 2013 and was to be applied to her next scheduled delivery which did not occur, thus resulting in a credit balance of $27.82 at the time she sold her house. She might be referring to the tank rental of 50.00 as some customers think that is a deposit. It is a rental fee charged for the tank that is not refundable according to the contract she signed. We explained to her a refund normally takes 30-60 days to be received. On Jan. 17, 2014 a check in the amount of $[redacted] was processed and she should be receiving it in a few days.

Horrible treatment after 12 years of being customers. Had questions about condition of tank rental and were hung up on. Wrote the owner never to hear from anyone and they trespassed on out property to pick up tank with no appointment scheduled and never refunded our money for gas left in tank. Amazing how they can rent you something but not be liable for rental or answer any questions about safety of rental. If you cannot ask the owners of the company or any employees then who can you ask. We were treated horribly and only were concerned for our safety. After 12 years of being a customer who always paid on time this was the only time we had even asked a question!!
