Dixie RV Superstores Reviews (18)

I have just purchased my 2nd rv from Dixie RV in DefuniakThe only reason I purchased another is because my first was totaled due to an insurance claimOur salesperson has been amazing both times and all other parties such as finance and sales have been greatShortly after purchasing my first camper from them, we had a warranty claimAlthough they did everything they said the would to repair the issue, they did not contact me for two weeks while I was wondering the status of my repairI did keep the camper throughout this time so it was just awaiting partsAnyway, after talking to them About how it would be nice to receive an update more often this claim went wellI had two other warranty issues that popped up and were rapidly, and smoothly taken care ofThis time they called every three days to update me regardless of whether there was new info or notWhen I asked they stated that they had complaints in the past and their new service policy was to call every three days regardlessThey listened to customers and reviews and fixed the issue! My most recent purchase from them was again amazing! Parts and service have exceeded expectationsThanks to Hether [redacted] and Dixie RV for another great buying experience!

After only owning our NEW Avenger camper for months, we had to leave it on Oct 19, at Dixie RV, and this began a constant struggle for clear capable assistance and communication with Dixie RV to handle our warrantyFrom when the camper damage would be assessed, telling us this person was doing it, to no this person is taking care of it, turned into a very confusing TIMELY run around, just to get info sent to the manufacture for our warrantyAfter about weeks we had to take matters into our own hands going directly to the manufacturerWe do have an case of extensive damage on an NEW defective camper which you would think would be all the more reason to help us, after buying it from themThey could contact us enough and assured us to customer service when buying the camper We had to go to the dealership Dixie RV an hour away to get documented damage after requesting it be sent to us by email, within our rights to knowDixie RV was totally incapable of following through on the email request, phone calls to our correct phone number and voicemail messages leftWe discovered more damage as it sat there with the original leak and possible more leaks causing more damage problems weeks laterWe found more damage and asked for pictures to be taken and documented and was told it would be taken care of...a week later we made another trip to request this, (again we called and no info over the phone could be given that they could find) they said the pictures were DELETED and did not document the damage foundDixie WARRANTY MANAGER did not even know what had been evaluated in the camper, a complete pull up of flooring and extended areas marked with damage, he was oblivious with no record of this being done EVEN after dealing many times with our request for informationWhen checking with the manufacturer for what pictures they had and they did not have a fraction of the pictures of damageWhen finally we get warranty info for what was to be replaced, we are given the wrong information of repair approved and WE had to go back to the manufacturer for it to be corrected We would strongly suggest anyone looking for a Camper or RV not depend on Dixie RV to fix, repair or communicate with you as a consumer with truthfulnessThey just say what you want to hear, acting like they care and don't follow throughThere are more details to this, but its all the same- EXTREMELY POOR SERVICECannot say that one person ended up doing what they said they would do to service usWould not even give them a D- would be an FThey evidently think they are too big to FAILAll we can say is when a business treats the consumer this way it will come back to them one day, it already has with family and friends

This is the worst place to have your RV worked on, I have been back times to get things fixed the shower has leaked from day oneIt is month now, well all my plumbing leeks in my NEW Heartland Warrior RoadIt has been a "You have an appointment Monday" and then " You will not get anything fixed today We can not get to it till Wednesday" from the first time I had to bring it in Service will just lie to your face and then when you pick it up service will tell you we have This and That fixed I got it home and thing where worst or not fixedI took my RV in times to get Shower, radio, awning, it all is worst off now then when I startedI talked to them for a few weeks to get to fix my generator fixed and after keeping it for a day they told me that we do not work on generatorsI have just given up and I am going to just fix it all my selfI have not worked with the Hammond store I have worked with the Florida storeIt is the worst place I have ever have did worked withDO NOT GO TO THIS STORE YOU WILL BE SORRYIf you have an urge to spend money and get nothing but smoke and mirrorsGO to a magic show

We bought an RV from Dixie which had a tainted head light enclosure which was promised many times by the salesman that it would be replaced either there or at my home?? This did not happen,no return calls, no follow up and a complete lack of interest in satisfying their customer! This promise also was made for the ice maker!
Several call to service, salespeople and finance all went unanswered!

Do not buy from Dixie RVDo not use their service departmentWe purchased a Jayco Seneca 37FS and the trouble started there
The salesman told us there were features that were not present on the RV
The real concerns though are with ServiceIf you want full information that supports my claims contact me at ***@gmail.com I have videos and written proof that they are not doing tasks they claim, where they charged us for work that was not done, etcI will happily share our information with you

I had an accident in December which destroyed my Cap on my RVDixie RV had my RV for months and they called me in Tennessee to pick it up as it was readyI went there and it was not readyThe A/C did not work, the radio did not work and the wipers did not workThey kept it a whole day as I waited in the waiting room and released it again at the end of the business dayI took it out on the road and it started raining haf way back home and the wipers went to the side againI got it back home and took it to Camping World in Nashville where they said the cap was not put on correctlyThe shaking on the road made the wipers go to the side and also the mirror shakes tooIt seems Dixie RV now does not want to contact me or Nashville Camping world to pay for this repairNashville knows what needs to be done, but Dixie needs to pay as a warrantyIt would cost me days and probably about $in travel money to get back to Dixiethen whatever it takes to repair the problem
I will never take my RV back to Dixie RV

I purchased a high end 5th wheeler from Dixie RVAlthough Dixie was affected by the recent flooding, I could not get Dixie to speak to me, call me or answer numerous emails about serious issues I had with my RV while the warranty was in effectAt the end of the day, I had to call the manufacturer to coordinate the repairs given Dixie's absolute lack of service supportAt this point, my RV has been in the shop for weeks with no end in sight

Had a deposit on a Motor Home, with Dixie Rv's sale price and Trade numbers based on "Dixie's offer to me"two hours before delivery they backed out
On October 24th, I made a phone call to Dixie Rv about some units I seen on their website I was greeted on the phone by Sales person *** *** *** sent me photos of a couple units they had and I gave him a very detailed description of the unit I had for a trade*** gave me a "sight un seen" offer for Sale/trade ($304,Sale price and $75,000.for my trade) on one of the unitsI told *** I would send him photos and Vin number of my trade so we were in agreement with trade numbersIn the subject line of my emails to *** I put year and Model of my trade so they (Dixie RV Staff) were well aware of what it was On Thursday at 11:AM *** *** and I agreed on a trade number he would take to Director of Sales *** *** for approvalWithin Minutes I received a phone call from *** *** who said yes in fact he would agree to Sale and trade of their used Entegra Anthem B for a sale price of $304, and give me $84,in trade for My Safari Panther Motor coach He asked and I gave him a $dollar deposit with my American ExpressI then starting working with Dixie RV Finance person *** *** After giving my credit information *** was able to get me finance approval from Ally Bank, this was on Friday October 30th at 4:I received the email from *** it was all set Chad was well aware what the trade was as he specifically asked me for loan pay off that had the collateral of "Panther" on paperwork so we had the right document Also at that time we scheduled a "Take Delivery" appointment for Tuesday November 3rd at 1:PMEverything was all set as of Monday Afternoon (Nov 2nd)
All involved from Dixie RV knew I lived hours away and would have to leave at AM to get there on time for Appointment
At AM My wife and I headed for Dixie RV (an Hour drive) in our current motor coach with all necessary things for the tradeWe were excited as this was what we considered a "fair deal", They were higher priced on the their unit but gave us a little more on the trade so it evened outAs we got within hours from Dixie RV we received a phone call from *** *** He said there had been some sort of "Mix up"He went on to further explain that somehow the deal had been structured as if our trade was a Model not a He said he was sorry but they would not be able to do the trade now without more money from usHe said someone had mistaken a for a on a piece of paper
As anyone could imagine we were in total shock by this phone call I then insisted to speak to the owner I was told that would not happen*** them put some *** guy on the phone who totally blamed *** for the Mistake, and proceeded to tell me it would require someone else to call us back to tell us how much more money it would require*** *** called me about twenty minutes later and said they would not do the deal for any less than $20,more moneyI had passed ** a deal with another dealer on an almost exact unit that was only $4, more in total than original deal with Dixie, so I knew we were not unrealistic on original agreed upon numbers with Dixie
I then called *** *** back and expressed my total un appreciation of how Dixie
RV conducted business *** stated that everyone involved knew "That it was a year old Coach" a Model that I had for trade *** said he was sorry and did not know what transpired but they blamed him for a looking like a
I am positive this was just a sales tactic by Dixie RV to get us to get almost there and push us to give them $20,dollars above the original deal because we were exited about the unit and traveled that far Again I asked to speak to the owner and was told that would not happen
I told *** *** I needed to be compensated for my wasted time and fuel expense He said all he could do was gift cards for Camping world, but that's a joke It cost me real money and time

DIXIE RV IN HAMMOND DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS, THEY SALE AND ALSO ACCUSED ME OF HIRING AN ATTORNEY BECAUSE THEY FAILED TO HOLD UP TO THEIR STANDARDS .(NEVER ONCE HAVE I HIRED OR TALKED TO A LAWYER)
WORST PURCHASE I HAVE MADE FROM THESE PEOPLEIT IS COSTING ME ANOTHER 3,000$-4K TO GO TO INDIANA AND DEAL DIRECTLY WITH MANUFACTURE BECAUSE THEY FAILED TO PDI THE UNIT CORRECTLY
LIED TO ME ABOUT THE UNIT THAT THEY WERE SELLING TO ME TOLD ME THE UNIT JUST ARRIVED AND IT WAS A UNIT THAT THEY TOOK PARTS FROM TO FIX ANOTHER ONE

It took trips to Dixie RV in DeFuniak Springs to get our leveling jacks repaired and I still had to finish the job myself because they left the bolts out of the electric motor that operates one of the jacksThe bolts were not properly installed on the last trip to them therefore they fell outThe missing bolts caused the control to loose program so the jacks would not operateThe service manager insinuated that I had let someone else work on the jacks because the wiring was all messed up and accused me of lying when I told that no body other than Dixie had worked on themHe was rude and insisted on me signing a statement that they were refusing to work on them againI told him not to worry that I would never set foot on their property ever againPrevious to the jack fiasco they repaired the refrigerator and wired it wrong causing a fireWe had another repair facility fix it and they said that we were very lucky it didn't burn the coach to the tires with us in itI would not recommend these people for repairs

After only owning our NEW Avenger camper for 3 months, we had to leave it on Oct 19, 2015 at Dixie RV, and this began a constant struggle for clear capable assistance and communication with Dixie RV to handle our warranty. From when the camper damage would be assessed, telling us this person was doing it, to no this person is taking care of it, turned into a very confusing TIMELY run around, just to get info sent to the manufacture for our warranty. After about 6 weeks we had to take matters into our own hands going directly to the manufacturer. We do have an case of extensive damage on an NEW defective camper which you would think would be all the more reason to help us, after buying it from them. They could contact us enough and assured us to customer service when buying the camper. We had to go to the dealership Dixie RV an hour away to get documented damage after requesting it be sent to us by email, within our rights to know. Dixie RV was totally incapable of following through on the email request, phone calls to our correct phone number and voicemail messages left. We discovered more damage as it sat there with the original leak and possible more leaks causing more damage problems 8 weeks later. We found more damage and asked for pictures to be taken and documented and was told it would be taken care of...a week later we made another trip to request this, (again we called and no info over the phone could be given that they could find) they said the pictures were DELETED and did not document the damage found. Dixie WARRANTY MANAGER did not even know what had been evaluated in the camper, a complete pull up of flooring and extended areas marked with damage, he was oblivious with no record of this being done EVEN after dealing many times with our request for information. When checking with the manufacturer for what pictures they had and they did not have a fraction of the pictures of damage. When finally we get warranty info for what was to be replaced, we are given the wrong information of repair approved and WE had to go back to the manufacturer for it to be corrected.

We would strongly suggest anyone looking for a Camper or RV not depend on Dixie RV to fix, repair or communicate with you as a consumer with truthfulness. They just say what you want to hear, acting like they care and don't follow through. There are more details to this, but its all the same- EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE. Cannot say that one person ended up doing what they said they would do to service us. Would not even give them a D- would be an F. They evidently think they are too big to FAIL. All we can say is when a business treats the consumer this way it will come back to them one day, it already has with family and friends.

OUTSTANDING Customer Service in the purchase of our new 2014 Heartland Gateway 3650BH. Our sincerest thanks to Stephan, Gabe, Thom, and Bartow and the rest of the awesome support staff at the Florida family office. We were treated like family and you all made the process very easy. Your service department did a great job with the installation of our new hitch too.
Mark and Debbie [redacted] of Key West, Florida

I bought a camper from them they charged an extra $285 for tag, title work and impact fees. Florida doesn't charge a fee for trailers only motor vehicles. When I went to the tag office they said I wasn't suppose to be charged $285 for this I went back to them to get a refund they gave me the run around ten said it would be mailed in one week. It never showed up after two weeks I called them and they gave me the run around again then they transferred me to the main office in Louisiana they said it fell through the cracks and they would call be back later that day. They did not call back. Also when I got the camper home the battery was discharged when I went to charge it up the battery box was full of water they didn't bother to put a drain hole in the battery box also when I took the battery out to fix this the positive cable wasn't crimped correctly and just fell off. I don't recommend anyone buying anything from them. As it stands right now I will not do business with them anymore.

I was planning on purchasing a motorhome from the Florida location I put down 500 dollars Dwayne told me it was refundable I have been waiting a week and still no refund. I called to cancel purchase 10 days prior to the day I was scheduled to pick up. It has been 7 days since I talked to Dwayne about getting my deposit back.

I have just purchased my 2nd rv from Dixie RV in Defuniak. The only reason I purchased another is because my first was totaled due to an insurance claim. Our salesperson has been amazing both times and all other parties such as finance and sales have been great. Shortly after purchasing my first camper from them, we had a warranty claim. Although they did everything they said the would to repair the issue, they did not contact me for two weeks while I was wondering the status of my repair. I did keep the camper throughout this time so it was just awaiting parts. Anyway, after talking to them About how it would be nice to receive an update more often this claim went well. I had two other warranty issues that popped up and were rapidly, and smoothly taken care of. This time they called every three days to update me regardless of whether there was new info or not. When I asked they stated that they had complaints in the past and their new service policy was to call every three days regardless. They listened to customers and reviews and fixed the issue! Horrible do not buy from there bought a 2014 crusader 5th wheel with nothing but problems from day one getting the run around with different people from day one they said they would fix problems but it will take 3 months to fix which is a problem because I live in it for work it floods inside every time it rains the lights in bathroom blew up and turned the fixture black fireplace going out kitchen sink leaked bathroom shower door fell off BBQ pit broke ottoman broke outside facet broke wiring messed up for Internet ac in bedroom has been leaking on my bed since the first night and has no stopped they said they can't fixed that until summer because of the humidity which I don't understand

This is the worst place to have your RV worked on, I have been back 6 times to get 3 things fixed the shower has leaked from day one. It is 9 month now, well all my plumbing leeks in my NEW Heartland Warrior Road. It has been a "You have an appointment Monday" and then " You will not get anything fixed today We can not get to it till Wednesday" from the first time I had to bring it in. Service will just lie to your face and then when you pick it up service will tell you we have This and That fixed I got it home and thing where worst or not fixed. I took my RV in 6 times to get Shower, radio, awning, it all is worst off now then when I started. I talked to them for a few weeks to get to fix my generator fixed and after keeping it for a day they told me that we do not work on generators. I have just given up and I am going to just fix it all my self. I have not worked with the Hammond store I have worked with the Florida store. It is the worst place I have ever have did worked with. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE YOU WILL BE SORRY. If you have an urge to spend money and get nothing but smoke and mirrors. GO to a magic show.

Dixie rv service department is highly incompetent. Our camper has been in service more times than we have camped in it. We have had a number of issues such water leaking into the undercarriage of the camper which was checked out last year but the tech didn't believe us . This year I videoed the event as it happened again to prove to the tech that there was something defective in the camper. We had problems with cosmetic details, shower wall coming away from wall, torn carpet which wasn't fixed correctly, uneven flooring, defective battery, both air conditioners have went out, tank gauges not registering properly, etc. My husband went there yesterday after they supposedly fixed the other air conditioner only to find that the air conditioner was frozen up and pouring water on our bed. My husband had to show the technician that the unit was not working properly and should be replaced. They have no pride or competence in their work. We have continuously been very dissatisfied with them.
