*** *** Claim #*** Inboxx *** * *** ***AttachmentsMay (days ago)to me, *** Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not in ANY way shape or form resolve my complaint and the issues that still stand unresolved. First off, no “crew” came out to our house to look at any work, and if they did, its baffling how they saw nothing wrong with the work (that would make them extremely unqualified) and leftAlso, if they did come out to our house, we DID NOT authorize this I was never notified of this at any point when dealing with Chris ***When did they come out? If that is so, why did I have to call over the course of months to get resolution to this issueIn an effort to find remedy to the issues, here are all the dates I attempted to make contact with Deck Masters: 3/22, 4/17, 4/18, 4/(2x), 4/26, 5/1, 5/(2x), 5,(I have phone records printed from my bill)Below are the responses I received on a few occasions when I actually got someone to answer the phone: “I will be away at a wedding for a week and a half and I will call when I get back” (Per Chris ***) (He never called!)“I was told they would try to get ahold of the people who did the stairs and have them come out to fix it” (Per Mike) (They never did)“Another time I was told the guys who did the stairs weren't returning their calls”(per Mike)“I was again told Mr*** was out of town and Mike would call me back” (Per Mike) (He never did)To top it off…“I was told Mr*** was in the hospital with a brain tumor and when they operated could not find a tumor, so he would be out for a long time” (Per Mike)(YOU CANT MAKE THIS STUFF UP)Before they operate, I think they confirm that you have a tumor but anyway… This hardly looks like I was dealing with a company who was taking this situation seriously and was urgently looking to remedy the issues that were brought to their attentionI was never told a crew came out, I was never given a date of when Mr*** would come out, everything was a dead end! Upon researching this company on the Revdex.com, Mike *** is the owner and Chris *** is the GMAlso, it states that Mr*** has purchased all the assets of the companyIf Mike is in fact the owner at no time has he reached out to us to resolve this issueThis may be an area in which needs to be investigated. Upon Mr*** arriving on 5/9, he did finally call and state that he was at our residence and could see what I was talking about on a “couple of the steps.” I told him I was pulling in the neighborhood and asked if he had seen all the areas that I was talking about concerning the overall craftsmanship of the workHe then became agitated and stated he would go back down and lookWhen I arrived he was extremely defensive and when I started to point out all the areas of cracking, splitting, separating, and overall poor workmanship of the job, he immediately began to blame the company who installed our patio stating they lifted the stairs. I explained to Mr*** that I have been contacting them well before the patio was installed and he can’t blame themI also stated I was home the entire time of the patio installation and at no time did they move the stairsI told him I would call them right on the spot so he could hear me confirm this and he stated, “no…it will just start an argument, they will just lie and say they didn’tI’ve been doing this years I can see where they cut them”I did confirm with my contact Rachel at *** *** and they assured me that they DID NOT touch the stairs and its clear they poured around themIf further information is need, you can contact *** *** at ###-###-####Furthermore, while showing him the stairs and all my concerns I told him it looked terrible and that it was falling apart everywhereHe then told me “I was insulting him” and that “this is wood work not cabinetry”This absolutely floored me! At this time I was in awe so I called my husband and my husband asked me to put Mr*** on the phone because he wanted to speak with himI then gave Mr*** the phone and stated my husband would like to speak with him, Mr*** stated to me “I don’t think your husband wants to speak with me, I think you want me to speak to your husband” which I also was taken back by(I don’t know why Mr*** states, “she responded by calling her husband and telling him that I (Mr***) wanted to talk to him”)I called my husband myself to let him know the difficulty I was having with Mr***, and my husband asked me to put him on the phone. Mr*** was rude, defensive, and said I was insulting his work, and wouldn’t provide me with any solution to fix the problemWhile my husband spoke to him on the phone while he was at our house, every single time he asked Mr*** for a date of WHEN the deck would be fixed along with specifically WHAT he was going to fix, he was met with “Well your wife said this” “I was insulted” “I need to check my calendar”, etc After speaking to my husband, Mr*** went stomping off up the driveway to his truck to leaveI then asked him what the verdict was and when the issue would be fixed, he said “your husband said to only talk to him so he couldn’t tell me” which my husband did tell him while they were on the phone because he kept trying to speak to both of usHe told me one thing but was telling my husband another which was just causing confusion in the whole situation I asked him again about the resolution to the issue and he said , “I will let you know.” (this in no shape or form sounds like an individual who is easy to work with)At that time I did state I would call the news stationThe manner in which he handled this situation was unprofessional, and the surrounding area should see the poor work they do(see attached photos) Their work hasn’t even lasted months! When my husband got home from work, he called Mr*** again on his cell phone (because he hadn’t heard back) which Mr*** did not answerMy husband then called a different number we found on the Revdex.com which Mr*** answeredMy husband inquired again what specifically Mr*** was going to fix regarding the stairs and he also wanted lock down a date of when Mr*** would be coming out to fix the stairs (my husband wanted to ensure that he would be home when the crew came out.) Mr*** stated to my husband that he was at dinner with his wife and that again he would “check his calendar and get back to him” (something that he was supposed to do that day after he left but clearly didn’t.) My husband stated to Mr*** that we had been waiting on a fix to these issues for months and that he was at the point where it was now urgent to get a date in place to fix the issuesMy husband told Mr*** to take look at his calendar that evening and that he (my husband) would call him in the morning to get a dateMr*** then went on tangent talking about how threatened he felt by me earlier that day and that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to fix itHe went on to state that he would “sleep on it” and if he wanted to fix it, he would call my husband in the morningThis infuriated my husbandMy husband then insisted on a date and that Mr***’s remarks of “sleeping on it” were completely unacceptableMy husband told him that he needs to “step up, be a leader, and take responsibility for his business” and after that Mr*** hung up on him. Meanwhile, I had my neighbor come over to look at the work Deck Masters did and my neighbor stated (as a professional contractor himself) that he had never seen this kind of workWe then had two other reputable contractors within the Cincinnati area come out and look at the stairs, BOTH of them stated that “the work was not at all good and that the stairs were falling apart.” One of them stated that “the stairs were NOT up to code, unsafe for our family to be on, and that the entire railing and stairs would need to be replaced.” When you take a look at the pictures, along with my phone records, fellow contractors repair estimates/remarks, and *** ***’s remarks; contrary to Mr***’s statements, it is clear that Mr*** had no intentions nor the proven quality of workmanship to remedy our concernsIt is clear by our experience, attached pictures, and remarks made by REAL professionals in this industry that Mr*** is incompetent and unskilled to bring the stairs to exceptional standards which is what we paid for. When you look at the pictures on his website (projects he has supposedly completed), our stairs look nothing like themThey used 2x4’s underneath our steps which is interesting because all the pictures in the photos on his website have 2x10’s being usedThis also was a point of question amongst the contractors we had come out to our house to give us estimates as well as my neighbor who is also a contractorThey stated that “today anyone can go around with a camera and take pictures of decks and stairs and say it was them who did it.” Yes, they are liarsYes, they are con artist and no one else should fall victim to their workMr*** states he has been building decks for years, yet there is not one positive review on him anywhere on the internet, the company has been under numerous owners, and as you can see in the pictures with this kind of experience you would think he would know how to produce quality work; not unsafe, deteriorating products! We can go back and forth with “he said/she said” all day long but just take a look at the pictures and evidence for yourself because a picture says a thousand words and we have of themYou tell me if this is a person who should be doing business with anyone in the State of Kentucky, Ohio, or ANY other State for that matterAlso explain to me how my Patio people are responsible for what is seen in these photosWe will be taking him to court to recoup our money! I invite ANYONE from the Revdex.com to come out to our residence and personally see for themselves the “Freak Show Craftsmanship” of Mr*** and Deck Masters Incof Kentucky (not to be confused with Deck Masters Cincinnati). When Mrs*** first called, the crew chief who built the project went to look at itNo one was home and he reported back that he didn't see anything wrong with itI told that to Mrs***, who said she wanted me to come personallyI asked if it was okay for me to stop out when I was out that way
or if it was urgent enough for me to make a special tripShe said whenever I was out that way. When I arrived at the *** residence, I immediately called Mrs***The first words out of my mouth were, "I will fix thisGive me a couple days." She told me to wait for her to get homeWhen she arrived, she immediately started berating and criticizing meI pointed out that the stairs had been moved by the concrete company that had poured her patio but hat I would fix it anywayShe responded by calling her husband and telling him that I wanted to talk to himI had said nothing of the kind.I told Mr*** that I had told his wife I would fix the steps, even though the concrete company had damaged themWhile I was trying to explain how the damage had happened, his wife kept talking over me and I told Mr*** I couldn't talk to both of them at the same timeHe said, "Ignore her and just deal with me."I reiterated at least times that I was happy to fix the problem with the stairs and that it was a relatively simple fixAfter I gave the phone back to Mrs*** and started to leave, she told me not to come back, that she would have someone else do the work and have the TV station take care of her issue with me(I'm not really sure what that was supposed to mean.)Later that evening, Mr*** called me backI again told him that I was willing to fix the steps but hat his wife said not to come back and that she was going to complain to the TV stationThe conversation quickly descended into a barrage of insults from Mr***, including that I was a "joke" and a "rd"; that my company was "***" and "slimy".At that point, I thought we both needed to calm down and talk at another timeHe told me not to bother; he didn't want me back and that his neighbor was a contractor and he would fix it.I don't know what more I could have done beyond telling both of them I would fix the stairsThe damage was minimal and would have been easy to doThe abusive nature of their response was unnesessary and non-productiveI've been building decks for years and never been treated like thisThe damage was done by a third party, I offered to fix it anyway and was told by both Mr.& Mrs*** they didn't want me to fix it

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] are false in their response! During the time I tried to get them to come look at the stairs I was told Mr. [redacted] would be away at a wedding for a week and a half, I was told they would try to get ahold of the people who did the stairs and have them come out to fix it,(another time I was told the guys who did the stairs weren't returning their calls) I was again told Mr [redacted] was out of town. To top it off I was told Mr. [redacted] was in the hospital with a brain tumor and when they operated could not find a tumor, so he would be out for a long time. I was to for months. I never agreed to have someone come out and look at the stairs when I was not here. Mr. [redacted] was correct that when he did finally make it out I wanted him to wait til I arrived to show him ALL the areas that were falling apart. I have had had multiple contractors look at their work and I've been advised all he stairs and railing need to be replaced. They are falling apart and unsafe for my family and children to be on! Regards,
[redacted]
