Dixon Paving , Inc.

The [redacted] hired Dixon Paving to perform services in the community which involved concrete replacement, concrete grinding and sealing cracks to prevent further damage to the concrete caused by water getting under the concrete and in the cracks. Upon completion, community members reported areas of dissatisfaction and told the company that they would withhold a portion of payment until the work was completed. Dissatisfaction was found in areas that were too slippery after grinding the concrete and the sealant application was done poorly. [redacted], a leader at Dixon Paving, threatened the community and insisted on payment up to 90% before they would even agree to send anyone to correct the items. After receiving the 90% payment, Dixon Paving sent an employee to meet with the community to review their concerns. The employee agreed that Dixon Paving could have done a better job, and it was agreed they would come back and correct the concerns that were identified. This happened in May 2015 and, so far, Dixon Paving has not kept their promise to make this situation right. We have tried for months and months to get a response. The company has ignored several emails, phone calls and a registered letter that [redacted] signed for on August 5, 2015. The community still has sealant smeared all over the sidewalks and parking pads as well as slippery concrete from the grinder. Our request to Dixon Paving was to clean up and re-apply the sealant so it would look like a professional company installed it and to add traction to the slippery areas that were created during the grinding process. Bill Perry, another leader in the company, assured me that his company was capable of doing a professional job and that he always leaves with a satisfied customer. As of today, Dixon Paving has not lived up to that promise.Product_Or_Service: Concrete repairs and crack fillingAccount_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementThe community sent a certified letter to Dixon Paving on July 27, 2015 with a list of areas that need attention. We are simply asking Dixon Paving to complete the job in a professional manner and as discussed in our pre-construction meeting on March 25, 2015.Business Response We did complete the job however the HOA held 10% retainage from us regarding ANY unforeseen issues that would cover for this project.We did respond to Ms. [redacted] to inform her we would go out and take care of these minor issues. Due to scheduling at the time we were extremely busy and failed to go out there in a timely manner however I can assure the HOA that we have ALL intentions to address these minor issues requested by the community.Consumer Response The[redacted] HOA does not feel the job has been completed. We have made multiple efforts to contact Dixon Paving since May 2015 to get a resolution. Thank you for indicating you will complete the project by addressing the issues outlined in our original complaint. Please provide a timeline, with dates, for when the project will be completed as promised.
