Better Business...

Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. To Whom it May Concern :  RE: Complaint #[redacted] Let me first start by stating that I was never objected to having treatment of Daisy – I was well aware of the cost of blood work & radiographs – and willing to pay and preceed with treatment.  I am not sure why Dr [redacted] mentioned in her letter about my visit to the VCA Paradise Valley Emergency or the visit to their clinic on March 17 as that has nothing to do with anything. I want it to be noted that when I brought Daisy in on July 14 (not the 16th as Dr Prudent stated in her letter) that I had paid $470.40 and was told that nothing diffinitive showed and that she would like her to come in t he next day the 15th for barium treatment.  I mentioned my hesitancy and stated that I had paid a lot of money so far and was not convinced it was necessary.  The next day on the 15th I received a phone call from Dr [redacted] again to ask where Daisy was and how come we weren’t doing the barium treatment?  I was told she was concerned about her elevated WBC and recommended barium treatment again.  I think the fact that I didn’t bring her in on the 15th shows my hesitancy to  be treated further.  The furthering of treatment to only pad the pocket book of the clinic at my expense.  That is what gives Veterinarian medicine such a bad name.  It is a ploy of our emotions to “do the right thing”  This is what I am disagreeing with.  There is no accountability on the Drs part when recommending further treatment. Yes we all sign those papers – stating that we know the price and procedure and agree for them to treat.  These papers protect them – not us.  Just because I sign something doesn’t mean I can’t be disappointed and disagree.  Bottom line what I am objecting to is the barium treatment - $132. And paying for a wormer $15.18 with no  parasite in fecal.   I don’t know anyone in medicine who  does that kind of work. That is not the bulk of what I have paid to the clinic.  But I would like to see someone one step up and be accountable for this. I waited 6 days for someone to respond to me – no phone call - nothing.  That is when I notified Revdex.com and that is when I received a phone call from Dr [redacted] on July 21 – he left a message and stated he would call me the next day.  Never called back  This is not my responsibility to continue to call there – it is their responsibility to try to rectify this situation with me.  It is very evident to me that no one wants to step up and face this problem with me.  Let alone have regard for how my dog is doing. Sincerely, [redacted] PS  I called the office stating I wanted my records and radiographs since-  I paid for them.  They said they couldn’t put them on a CD so would e-mail them to me.  They have not done so to date.
