Ordered my pole barn from DIY Delivery was faster than expectedThe delivery itself went very smooth and the driver was polite, courteous and helpful None of the order was damaged except for some scratches on metal, which was not a big deal but the company said they would send me paint if I was not happy with the scratchesAlso, the township wanted a higher wind rating on the trusses so they changed the order to comply with the requirements All in all the whole process went smoothlyEveryone at DIY was knowledgeable and helpful

Out of all the stresses of moving, building a house, clearing and fencing new pasture, and building a barn, the DIY process has gone the smoothest I cannot say enough good things about the professionalism of the sales and technical teams at DIY, as well as the quality of their product We built a 30'wx48'wx16'h barn with three horse stalls and a tack room, all supplied by DIY The barn looks great My personal advice would be to go with their options, because they are worth the money Get the overhangs, the soffit, bubble insulation, and post protectors at minimum It is a small amount of money for the quality you end up with Thanks DIY, I'll be calling when we build a storage building on our property in future years Also, I did read these Revdex.com reviews prior to purchasing, as well as reviews on other sites I can testify as with other reviews I just read prior to posting mine I was also very apprehensive about sending such a large amount of money via wire to a company I had never dealt with out of state However, I went ahead and did it, and absolutely have zero regrets DIY was more honest to deal with than my local contractors, and much more communicative I am so thankful for their wonderful service at a very stressful time in my life (moving our farm)

Overall I had an excellent experience They were very helpful and patient during the design phase The plans were great and I had no problem getting them through a very picky local building department Delivery was before the projected date Driver was a gentleman and unloaded the entire barn and placed it where I wanted it with the forklift From beginning to end the team was available for any questions and gave sound advise There were more than enough supplies, I had extra of about everything (enough to build a small shed)I can't say enough nice things I am building a second barn and I will be going back to DIY!

Buying a barn over the internet from DIY POLE BARNS has worked out great I was apprehensive about such a large purchase from a company so far away, but DIY POLE BARNS personnel patiently and fully answered all my questions so I could confidently place the order From start to finish, DIY was there to insure our success and satisfaction with their product Our small 75-year-old barn was destroyed by high winds and replacement costs were assessed at nearly twice that allowed by our insurance Working with DIY POLE BARNS, we were able to purchase the materials, construct a barn percent larger than the old one, and remain within the allowed insurance amount DIY POLE BARNS assigned a very capable and responsive Project Manager to our barn and our county quickly approved the DIY POLE BARNS plans with one requested change You may want to check your local requirements, as we were able to meet code by digging our postholes by hand to half the depth specified in the DIY POLE BARNS plans This saved removal of over cubic yards of dirt Our barn kit arrived as specified and the driver neatly placed it near our site It was very helpful that extra x 4's are included to brace the poles during the early stages of construction We were able to place the 24-foot trusses by hand using ladders Even though our building ordinance allowed rafters at foot spacing, we changed to foot spacing to allow for extra storage in the Fink style trusses The DIY POLE BARNS building plans were clear and easy to follow We ran out of some fasteners, called DIY POLE BARNS, and they were express shipped arriving so that construction was not delayed In putting up the door sections, we noticed that one was slightly dented I called DIY POLE BARNS and they shipped a brand new section Thanks to DIY POLE BARNS we now have our new larger, low maintenance and attractive barn for less money than was ever expected I highly recommend contacting DIY POLE BARNS for your barn needs

I wanted to give a 4-star review but gave a star because there were some issues that occurred during the process which I think could have been handled somewhat better considering that as a customer, when spending quite a bit of money, the experience should be flawless or if problems occur, should be satisfied to the customer 100% Good points: Great communicationAnswered all my questions quickly and effectivelyEasy process of purchasing on lineGood preferred builder during construction Cons: Problems with delivery (damaged and missing material)Although the damaged material was replaced quickly and I was reimbursed for purchasing missing items, there was no consideration that I had to drive an extra miles and take time off from work because of these issues which are part of the entire process Of course there is always the potential for human error-the dropped material or the missing lumber, but the bottom line is that DIY owns the ENTIRE process and needs to be aware of the inconvenience and frustration caused by these issues and somewhere make good to the customer beyond just an apology so that customer feels that DIY respects the customer's time when having to do things they should not have had to do
