This is a late review and I realize it is too late for resolution but I feel others should know about my experience. I got a quote from this company to ship my car, their selected shipper was JPI GSA Transport. They shipper show up on time and loaded my car. Communication was decent and we both showed up at the pickup location at a reasonable time. I paid for my shipment and that is when the problems started. Immediately I noticed that I was near zero on gas. They either siphoned my gas or used it for their own purposes. My gas door was also broken. They wouldn't and couldn't tell me why I was near empty when picking up my car. Back seats also had dirty on them. I keep my car relatively clean so I notice immediately.

TLDR: Don't trust this company. Their shippers are not honest and not trustworthy.

After contracting with another company that didn't get my car picked up I call diytransport where I spike with [redacted] who was VERY helpful in explaining why my car was not getting picked up. Once listing with diy mike had my car picked up with in 24 hrs. Thanks [redacted]!

+1

I had no clue about shipping vehicle's or how it worked. I was contacted by [redacted] and he explained everything to me. I thought it would be more difficult then what he made it seem. I was overwhelmed with other companies calling and emailing me at first. [redacted] had contacted me a few times to follow up. He was never rude, but persistent! I eventually contacted him back to ship my vehicle's!. I would definitely recommend DiyTransport.

I was referred to DIY by a friend who had utilized their services and gave them a glowing report. We contacted them and gave them information pertinent to our transportation needs to ship 3 vehicles. They gave us a rate quote and time element. I told them I would get back to them and that I was going to shop their rate quote and time factor. After contacting several other shipping companies I felt best about doing business with DIY. They honored their quote and delivered the vehicles in a timely fashion in the exact same condition they picked them up in. I have recommended them to friends and family and will continue to do so in the future.

Review: Signed contract with DIY Transport on the agreement to provide service on a certain date. The same is also mentioned on the contract as well. They deducted advanced amount at the time of signing the contract. But they did not provide the service and not even refunded the money. Later gave options to provide service on alternate days that I couldn't accept. Now none of them responds to my calls or emails.Desired Settlement: Refund of the amount charged in advance at the time of signing the contract

We have tried to contact customer in several occasions to resolve the issue. As it states we (diyTransport) is not liable for any damages done by carrier. However, we have reached out to customer to offer back our broker fee and went even as far to pay for damages that she claims was done by the carrier. We have asked to see an invoice for the damages or estimates to fix said problem but customer has not been able to provide them

Review: I shipped my car at the end of the summer. Originally, I was quoted a price of $[redacted]; the transporting company wanted an extra $** (to make it a total of $[redacted]), so [redacted], the customer service rep, and I agreed to each pay $**. As ebidtransport.com had already charged me the deposit of $[redacted], they said they would refund me $** and to pay the balance to the truck driver. While waiting for the $** to be refunded, the transport company picked up my car a day late. When the company finally picked up my car the next day, he assured me the car would arrive on Tuesday to its destination...didn't happen. It finally arrived Thursday. That part of the saga was over. However, ever since, I have been trying to contact ebidtransport, [redacted], etc. to get my refund and, after the second time I was told it would take a couple of "business days" to process but that it was already in process, my emails bounced back as undeliverable or were simply ignored.I realize that $** is not much, but I am a college student and every dollar counts. Additionally, the dishonest character of the company and its employees in dealing with me in this situation makes me wonder how they would act if another, larger claim came up. I would never want to give my money or trust my car to such a company.Desired Settlement: I would like the $**, at least. This has been an absolutely ridiculous experience of me trying to chase down my money.

We tried helping you by following up with them and attending you every step of the way. as far as a settlement for $** that will not be a problem. please provide us wit the best address to mail it to you

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

They asked to provide a mailing address for the $** to be sent to. It is as follows:

[redacted]Regards,

Review: My husband and I were moving from East Stroudsburg, PA to Clackamas, OR and needed our car shipped quickly. I am 9 months pregnant and we wanted to make sure we would have our vehicle available. My husband, first spoke to [redacted] from DIY Transport on 3/20/20. She informed him the vehicle would be there in five days so by DOT math the vehicle should have been in Clackamas, OR by 3/29/15. Once she told him this they made an agreement for $[redacted]. She asked for credit card info to have on file to lock the price so they could contact drivers. After [redacted] received the credit card info, she then said [redacted] was not enough to move the vehicle and that she would need another $[redacted]. They verbally agreed to $[redacted]. The vehicle was supposed to be picked up on 3/22/15. When they failed to pick up the vehicle we began looking at other companies. [redacted] called me (another transport consultant) 3/25/15, and gave me a 90% guarantee the car would be picked up the next day to be shipped. I left the car with a neighbor but they did not pick it up until 3/28/15. Once picked up we received notice it would be delivered in Portland, OR by 4/8/15. My neighbor told me the driver who picked it up said the final destination was California! We immediately called [redacted] and she said it would be taken by train to CA and a driver would bring it to Portland, OR. Mind you, they now have our vehicle and our credit card information. On 4/9/15 [redacted] told my husband that our vehicle was in California and would not be delivered until 4/18/15. I then requested to speak with [redacted] manager, [redacted]. [redacted] said they were working to get a driver right away and would look into compensation given our dissatisfaction and the poor service. I informed [redacted] that I was going to report them to Revdex.com and take legal action because they failed to deliver the car and I refuse to pay for this awful service. It has been almost a month. Today is 4/18/15 our car is sitting in Paramount, CA and they claim they cannot find a driver to bid to bring it because the drivers want more money or they are all in Florida. I am [redacted] and cannot continue getting rental cars. [redacted]. This company breached their contract, lied and requested additional money for a service they did not deliver.Desired Settlement: I want our vehicle delivered ASAP and will not pay for a service they are yet to deliver.

Response:

[redacted], As you stated, when you contacted diyTransport you were in a situation where your vehicle needed to be moved quickly.. We always advise our customers to make their their reservation at least two weeks in advance for a cross country move. That being said the price quoted to you was not $[redacted] it was $[redacted]..we try to relay to customers all the time that these prices are bids. Furthermore, it becomes very difficult when a customer names their own price and does not take our recommended price, because these are the problems we run into. For anyone reading this please understand that these are not guaranteed prices and we do not sell it as such

Review: I recently shipped my vehicle from [redacted] to [redacted] and then shipped to [redacted]. The process was explained to me and seemed straight forward that I would be contacted upon delivery in [redacted] and when my vehicle was to be shipped to Anchorage. I received confirmation that my vehicle was delivered to [redacted] on 13 Nov 2014 and from there on out the communication was practically non-existent . I was told on 17 Nov 2014 "[redacted], It usually takes 3-5 days to process and fill the ship and then it will be a 10 day sail after depatrure, we will be able to get a more defined date for you in the next couple days after it is processed and they call us. As soon as I get that info I will forward to you." Little did I know, that my vehicle had already begun its shipment to [redacted] and had arrived on 18 Nov 2014. I was not informed that my vehicle had arrived nor was contacted about any problems that DIY Transport had with the shipping process. I took it upon myself to call the company DIY Transport had hired to move my vehicle and was told that the final check for payment had not arrived and they could not release the vehicle. The check was sent out on 24 Nov 2014 and my vehicle should be released on 25 Nov 2014, only a extra week without having a vehicle.Desired Settlement: I am not sure if a refund is possible because of the payments to the shippers but I feel that a stipend should be attributed back to my account for the lack of professionalism and undue stress associated with my vehicle and all my household goods inside of it.

Business

Response:

The customer in question [redacted], was not forthcoming with all his information. When he initially placed his order, the information regarding his house hold goods, did not match the information he had given to us. the vehicle was not delayed as far as transport time, but the additional 400 lbs! did however put the order into a bit of delay. as we continue corresponding with the shipper in [redacted], they where unwilling to release the vehicle until the extra cost was paid for. if the customer was more accurate with his information from the start, we would have had a much smoother process.
