We purchased a Kenmore washer/dryer set from [redacted] off of his Craiglist ad. Our agreement was $250 cash plus the non working Kenmore washer/dryer set we had. Husband loaded both and I drove down from Vista. They loaded newer set and gave me receipt and 90 days warranty on parts and labor. The dryer worked, but washer made noise like it worked but the cycles weren't changing on their own. We physically have to stand over the washer and turn the knob every cycle. We didn't notice till about a month later when our clothes were not coming out smelling or looking clean. This happens 90% of the time. I called number provided..disconnected. I called number internet..disconnected. I sent husband to drive ALL THE WAY down there to see if they are still in business. [redacted] (store manager) promised that if I bring it down Thursday, he would exchange. Husband loaded (again). I waited in front of the closed store for an hour before I had to go to work. Finally someone text me saying tire blew on freeway. I told them we can't load/unload, husband will break his back. They promised to come to me in Carmel Mtn, which is half way and where I was working. No one came. No one returned calls, messages, etc. I showed up a few days later in shop. Found [redacted], was really upset. He swore that he would send a guy the next day to my home and replace my washer. (I have this conversation on a recording) NO ONE CAME AGAIN! My warranty just ran out and I am VERY angry at this point. I've been trying to handle this issue for months now!
