Eduardo & Jose of DJ Brick Pavers & Renovation refinished my pool, installed a paver walk way around my house, and removed my old driveway and front walkway. They then installed an even wider paver driveway along with a new walk way to my front door. They did their excellent work on the pool in a very timely manner and we think they did an excellent job. We are very happy with the pool work. They suggested the color and type of pavers for the front driveway, side walk way, and front walk way (very glad we listened). Besides being very pleased with the quality of work, paver layout, and timeliness of the project we have also received many compliments from passers by. Only had a couple of call back "touch ups" and they responded quickly and were very accommodating. They completed the "touch ups" (minor things) without complaint or issue doing everything they could to accommodate. I am pleased enough with them that I would certainly hire them again.
The installation of the product was not done properly. This has caused us to request corrections from the company with no response.
I hired DJ Pavers in May of this year to replace our cement driveway and sidewalks with brick pavers. The work was completed on 6/7/19. It was noted that the improper pavers were installed at the front door entry. This resulted in the bricks being higher than the bottom of the threshold at the front door. Water now flows into the bottom of the door. This also resulted in the entire front courtyard to be too high and then slope toward the house instead of away from the house. It was also noted that there are high bricks and low bricks causing a tripping hazard. There are also missing bricks and bricks installed upside down. Also noted are huge gaps within the field, hills and valleys and in general a very poor installation. I marked our property line for the sidewalk installation on the west side of the house. They went over the property line and it needs to be moved. I have made numerous attempts to call and text for a resolution to this matter. My last contact with them was July 6th. At that time they were on site and acknowledged that the wrong pavers were used starting at the front entry. They said they would get the proper pavers and be back to correct the area and all of the other problems that were noted. This conversation involved Eduardo and Jose as well as a neighbor who was a witness during the entire exchange. Since July 6th there has been no contact. Multiple texts and phone calls have been made with no response.
Replace front entry bricks with the proper bricks that are thinner so that the brick line is below the bottom of the front door threshold. Regrade the front courtyard so that the entire area is level to the house and proper slope AWAY from the house is established. Correct all peaks and valleys so that the entire driveway, courtyard and sidewalk is flush. Replace all missing and broken bricks. Reposition sidewalk so that it is not over the property line.

While we appreciate the response from the business that they are trying to do better in the future, it does not resolve our issues with the installation. They called on 9/13 to say that they would be on site on 9/14. They did come and worked on a couple of areas. They did replace the front entry way bricks with the thinner pavers. They left at the end of the day without saying anything. We called on 9/15 to ask when they would be sealing the new bricks that were laid. There has been no response. We are still waiting for a resolution on the uneven bricks, hills and valleys, and the grading issues to be fixed. Also, we still have upside down bricks, bricks with chips and holes and a generally very unprofessional installation. We have called in the manufacturer to inspect the installation on 10/7. We will be updating the report after that inspection. We are willing to give DJ Pavers one more chance to resolve the issues we have outlined. If they refuse or can't do the work properly, we will seek an installer who can regrade and reinstall these pavers properly. We will then request a refund equal to the cost to reinstall properly.
We are doing business with Mr. Eduardo D S for the last 6 months and we strongly recommend his company. Prices are really reasonable; works completed quickly and excellent quality.
