When Mr *** brought his vehicle in we where very clear there could be more than one issue What we fixed were broken motor mounts This had to be repaired and he did agree He was also told many times this may not be the only issue When the motor mounts where installed
this unfortunately was not the only issue as we had explained to him from the beginning He also had a bad transmission At this point he was very upset with us even though we where very clear with him I do not believe we owe him any money back as we Hawkins Towing were very upfront with him from the beginning His car could have several issues we fixed the one seemed most crucial. Review: In November 2013, I made settlement on my current residence. In the disclosure forms, provided by the seller, was information regarding the current roof on the property. This information indicated that the roof was installed by DJK Roofing in 2007. On April 30, 2014 the roof leaked. While assessing the roof, I realized that a dormer on the top floor was constructed with shingles. The slope on the roof does not meet the required slope for shingle installation and a flat roof should have been installed. Furthermore, the roof was extremely soft indicating water was traveling under the shingles and soaking the plywood. After realizing this, I contacted DJK Roofing. I explained to the first employee on the phone that I had a leak in my roof and my concerns about the slope of the roof. The employee took my information and advised that they would return my call. That same day, I received a call from the owner [redacted]. [redacted] advised that he had checked his records and could not find any documentation that he ever constructed the roof. [redacted] was adamant that if he had constructed it in 2007 he would still have record. Realizing that I only had the word of the home owner, provided in disclosures, I advised [redacted] that I would check with the Township to see what company pulled the permit and preformed the roof installation. After stating that, [redacted] stated that even if he did do the roof, "sometimes the homeowner wants a shingle roof even though the roof is flat" and that is not his fault. I find it odd that anyone would ask for a shingle roof on a flat roof considering it is completely invisible from the ground and provides no aesthetic purposes. After receiving documentation that DJK did replace the roof, I again contacted the owner [redacted]. At this time I was met with extreme hostility and [redacted] hung up on me. I understand that I am not the original purchaser of the roof, however the roof is only 7 years old most importantly was originally constructed wrong.Desired Settlement: I now need to hire a contractor to redo the portion of the roof that was done incorrectly. I am seeking reimbursement for the replacement cost. After trying to speak with the owner [redacted] and being met with such hostility, I would not like to use his company in fear, that out of spite, the job would not be completed correctly again. I have received an estimate for 2000 dollars for the proper construction of the flat roof.

I'd also like the Revdex.com to be aware of [redacted]'s complete lack of customer service. Never asking for anything other than to come out and look at the roof, [redacted] denied any responsibility and refused to even assess the roof. 7 years on a 30 year roof is definitely falling short and installing shingles on a flat roof is completely wrong!

The contract was between djk roofing and the previous homeowner the warranties have expired with djk roofing and the previous home owner. Djk roofing does not offer a transferable warranty. [redacted] does not have a warranty. This is not a valid complaint
