Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/11/27) */
This fireplace was installed in a new construction home on 8/24/15, we do not start up fireplaces in new homes until the builder calls us and says they are ready for a start-up. Fred received a call from the homeowner,[redacted], on 11/23/15...
stating that the blower was noisy. Apparently an unauthorized person must have started up the fireplace rather than calling us. We could not know that the blower was noisy until the fireplace was started up, and since we didn't do the start up, we wouldn't know until someone contacted us which in this case was 11/23/15. At the time of the call, we scheduled our installer to go back out to the home on 12/10/15 (our first opening since this is our busy season) and now receive this complaint. This fireplace has warranty and of course we will replace the noisy blower. Not sure why the homeowner would contact the Revdex.com when he was told we would come back out on 12/10 to take care of any problem. The salesman, Fred, has offered to contact the homeowner and make arrangements to go to his home on 12/2, to either fix the blower (if it is rubbing on something) or replace it. The fireplace has a one year warranty and we will take care of the customer.
