I'm writing in regards of receiving some assistance with some bad business people. "D & K Music Group LLC" Summary... on August 8th, 2012 a facility check for the amount of $26.48 was made out and sent to D & K Music Group LLC 216 Cumberland Street Suite #248 Rochester NY 14603. Said check was cashed on Aug 16th, 2012 according to facility records (copies enclosed) This order was for two cassette tapes Items #'s "*" & 2 "*" Nothing was ever received at this facility according to facility package log to date. I have made several attempts to correspond with this company to no avail. The ignore each letter and to add insult to injury. This week I receive a new catalog of their merchandise with still no letter or any word of my 4 month old order.

In my last letter I informed them I would take this matter to your bureau still no reply. I've asked for the funds to be returned. For the order to be fulfilled. Anything but just simply keeping my families hard earned money..

I am in dire need of assistance in this matter I would find it surprising if your bureau did not have any complaints on file of this company being I've met a lot of guys who have been taken by D & K music. I believe this is a company complied of EX-Inmates who know that to a good degree the average inmate can be taken advantage of with no repercussions to them. Their business practice is growing in negative ways...

I understand that the Revdex.com is a a nonprofit organization and not a legal entity...However, I really do sincerely appreciate your assistance in retrieving my funds and making a public record of this complaint to assist others who are sure to come behind me.

Also it maybe out of jurisdiction of this office for the Rochester area. But this was the only address for you I could find, so if possible can you forward this to the correct office if you can not cover the complaint?

I am having a problem with a company that I tried to order cassette tapes from. I asked a guy that works in the law libary what I could do and he gave me this address and said to explain my situation and you might be able to help.

Back on June 12th I sent a money order out for $35.48 to D & K music Group to order two cassette tapes. their catalog says you should recieve the order in a bout 7 business days. Its been two and a half months and I still have not recived my tapes. I know they aren't out of Business because I know people were still getting tapes from them as little as two weeks ago. Plus I wrote the inmates accounts and they told me the money order was cashed back in June.

The catalog also says if you do not recived your order to contact them and they wouldtry to locate it. I have written to them twice and they have not responded. I have had my mom try calling a number of times durring the business hours they have on their catalog and all her calls have done unanswered.

If you would be able to help get my money returned it would be gratefully apreciated. I no longer want the tapes I had the jail put them as a non aproved vendor so no boy else will lsoe their money with them. So I am no longer able to reive tapes from that company. So I would like them to return the money.

I am sending a copy of my monthly statement for a record of the date and amount. I am also sending a copyof the check that the facitily mailed to D & K

If you can help I really apreciate it. $35 might not seem a lot but it is when you have no source of income. If you are able to help let me know if there any other informaiton that you need. Thank you for your time. Desired Settlement: Refund

I am witting you today because "I am at wits end" and "COMPLETELY FED UP" a company who goes by with Two names; (but is one and the same who "refuse' to send me my $60.45 refund for merchandise that was returned to them "unopened"

On October 8th, 2013...using this money order's receipt

I ordered 5- musical cassette tapes circled in this color blue

From the exact enclosed catalog addressed in a "D & K Music Group; LLC" address. On October 25, 2013, that ordered arrived here at [redacted] from a "[redacted]s" address; (both D&K + [redacted] are out of Rochester, NY), and it was "emediently" rejected by the facility and sent back to them "unopened" (see enclosed) document signed by N.Y.S. Correctional Package Room Officer because the facility does not recongize their company(s) as "Approved Vendor"

1st request:

On October 29, 2013 I sent the [redacted] address a letter explaining everything I just told you and asked them to "emediently" send me a full $60.45 refund; (no credit), for their returned merchandise.

Second request:

On November 4th 2013 I again wrote the [redacted] address...and again asked the to refund my $60.45

3rd request:

On November 12th I again wrote the Kind Products address... still no refund sent!

4th:

On November 21,2013; (now one month later), I again wrote [redacted] and asked for my refund ... and explained my displeasure in being complexely; (not even a letter) ignored by them; after they received their merchandise back in an unopened package

5th request in letter form!:

On December I wrote the Kind Products address and explained if they did not send me my $60.45 emediently... I was then contacting you to advocate and intervein on my behalf.

On December 26th, 2013; (two months later... and 5 letters later that of unanswered), I AGAIN

write the [redacted] address and tell them that if my $60.45 is not refunded by Jan 14,2014... that I was then writing you;(giving you all my evidence as to the "shadyness" of their company), and telling you that I believe the reason why their company is ignoring me and won't give me my hard earned money back is because they "think" they can take advantageof me because I'm "incarcerated".... and ask you to intervein for me to get my money back!

It is now January 16th, 2014 and this "shady" company still has not sent my money back; wrote me not once, or given me any idea why they "think" this is okay!!!

IT'S NOT OKAY!

And that is "Why" I write you guys today...... I need your help in getting my money back; and perhaps shutting this company down as well!!! FOr they are not conducting fair business to all customers; and in my mind are even thieves! Three months I've been going through this!!!!

Please help me get my money back A.S.A.P! (Thank you).

I am so happy to see someone is finally going something about this very shady business and the way they disrespect customers and ; more importantly, steal from customers.

All I want is for them to return my $60.45; so "if" they contact me I will cooperate with them and inform you of any new changes.

I am writing you today because on Jan. 23, 2014 I received your letter in the above forsaid mentions....yet I still have not heard one word from this scandlious company! Not a response to your contacting them, a letter to me, my monies returned..."nothing!"

Will you please contact the head of this company; the owner/manager, and once again have them return my money to me? I know in your 1/23/14 letter you advised me the complaint process can take 4 to 6 weeks... but I know; ( with my previous unsatisfactory dealing with this corrupt company prior), that they like to ignore what is right!

Review: On 7-5-14 I placed an order with D & K Music Group LLC ( 216 Cumberland Street Suite 248, Rochester NY 14603) in which I never received. I paid $29.50 for a custom tap adn its been over a year and still nothing. I wrote the, and told them " I dont know what happened, but they have to refund my money becuase NYS inmates are not allowed to purchase anything from this company anymore. "They're reply was to have a relitive call them," but I cant , so I asked them to "just refund my money." Attached istheir response mention'd above!

Action I want taken- I just want a full refund!

I am writing you for your assistance due to the fact that it seems that inmates have no voice when it comes to making a purchase and receiving what (our) money has paid for

Approximately on the day of 2/11/13 money was taken out of my account for the purchase I made with a company bu the name of : D & K Group LLC 216 Cumberland Street, Suite #248 Rochester NY 14603 Phone # ###-###-####/ Mon.- Fri. 12 pm to 6 pm

Amount: $19.50 check # 130555

The money I sent to their company was for a cass. tape with 12-15 of my own selections (songs) But after writing them (2) times because of the fact my order was taking so very long with no response from them at all, I later learned from another inmate who ordered the same type of cass. tape I thought I ordered. I sent $19.50 but the price of the tape I wanted was $25.00 so from 2/11/13 to 3/25/13 I wrote to apologize for me not noticing the very small print, not even on their pricing page, but on the second page of their catalog that read: custcass-001-15 tracks $25 I missed that information due to the fact its not on their pricing page with all that being said, since I've waited so very long due to their failure to communicate I just want what my money can pay for: I ordered a noncatalog cass. tape/price: 14.99 and shipping $4.50= $19.50
