Review: DKS Climate Control, Inc. overcharges by more than 400% for their materials and services and has the worst customer service when you try to remedy the overcharge.We had DKS replace the transformer on our AC which had blown due to a short in our thermostat. When he finished the job he said he would install the "cheapest and most basic thermostat available." He did not give a specific price, but said that we could "replace it if we didn't like it." DKS charged us $160 for a basic digital thermostat that retails for $30. When we tried to contact DKS to return the thermostat, [redacted] continually deferred decision making ability to someone named "[redacted]." When we tried to get in contact with [redacted], [redacted] told us that [redacted] "would shoot him" if he gave us [redacted]'s contact info. [redacted], however, would not contact us to discuss this matter, even after promises that he would, so we were stuck dealing completely with [redacted] who was unwilling to offer us a reasonable resolution on this matter. [redacted] claimed that [redacted], the gentleman who did the service for us, quit the day after our call and that they did not have any information about our charges; however, they managed to cash our check the Monday following the service (which was on Thursday). During our daily conversations with [redacted], he implied that the amount of labor we were charged for was too high and did confirm that we were overcharged for the thermostat (which he claimed should have cost $80). On our most recent call before filing this complaint, [redacted] informed us that [redacted] had received our emails and messages and chose to not respond. He told [redacted], that we were welcome to file a Revdex.com report or Angie's list complaint or take him to court. He is "writing us off."[redacted], if he is not [redacted]'s alter-ego to avoid dealing with customers, has horrendous customer service for his business. He dodges all responsibility in dealing with customers who, even according to a DKS representative, were overcharged for their services.Desired Settlement: We want to return the thermostat and get a full refund of the $159.00 that we paid for it.

Good afternoon,

I am writing to dispute this claim. We charged according to standard industry pricing. The customer agreed to these services and accepted our pricing. After the job was complete they disputed the fees. In good faith we offered an $80 credit (fifty percent) off of our price for the thermostat. Prior to accepting our offer, this dispute was filed. Our customer agreed and accepted our resolution. We feel this was not a valid claim and would like it retracted or corrected. DKS Climate Control did nothing wrong.
