This email is in response to ID Number [redacted].  Below, please find all responses in order starting with the customer complaint.  Attached please find pictures that show our policies while customers are being signed up at our service...

My name is [redacted] and I am the [redacted] of DLC Ground Transportation Service, and I have been for the past 22 years. I am sorry to hear of your total dissatisfaction with your experience/service you received from DLC and would like to refund your fare of $26.63 for travel from the Westchester County Airport to the White Plains Train Station. I wish the driver had instructed you to return to the transportation desk instead of just stating, “I’m only a driver and there’s nothing I can do”. Again I am sorry, he or she should have been much more informative. If your travels bring you into the Westchester County Airport in the future, please stop by our counter as I would like the opportunity to explain our system and procedures in more detail, but I will try my best in this e mail. A large sign hangs prominently at the ground transportation desk, which I will take a picture of and forward to you, that reads; “During peak hours we reserve the right to pair customers together traveling in the same direction. If you would like your own vehicle, please speak with one of our dispatchers and one will be provided for you as soon as possible”. Now I’m not sure when you traveled as I can’t find you name, but we don’t pair passengers for our convenience, but to accommodate all deplaning passengers, and get them as quickly and safely  to their destinations as possible. This has recently become even more of a challenge as Westchester County has just started enforcement of the airport where it is not allowing taxis from other towns and cities to pick up without first receiving a license from the county to do so. The fact that taxis from most places don’t qualify and aren’t allowed to get these licenses seems to be falling on deaf ears so far. Please contact me with you payment information, as I feel strongly about refund anyone who is so dissatisfied with us. I will be forwarding the sign from my phone shortly and hope to hear from you soon, but I can assure you nothing was done illegally or fraudulent. My staff should of let you know you can request your own vehicle, that there may have been a short wait, and then let YOU decide what was best for YOU.

Review: I used the taxi service to travel between the Westchester Airport (HPN) and White Plains Metro-North station. I prepaid $26 for the vehicle. Two additional passengers were placed in the car to "share" the ride. They also paid $26. I told the driver that I paid for the car, not the seat and he needed to refund my money. He refused saying that he was only a driver and had no control over the situation.

This practice is clearly illegal and fraudulent as the car was paid for twice while only making one trip. Obviously, the taxi driver or desk clerk stole the extra $26.Desired Settlement: Return $26
