Dear Miss ***, My sincere apology once again for not responding in a timely mannerUpon reviewing the complaint, let me first of all state that the kitchen is yrs oldAs a company we offer a warranty of (1) year on labor and the cabinet company offers the warranty on the materials , that information is provided on the agreement between Master Kitchens & Baths and [redacted] .As a courtesy to the customer whom I do value ,I was willing to send one of my installers to do a service call for a feeHowever at this time we’re extremely busy and we’re doing our best to accommodate her Kind Regards, Joel C

I don’t accept Joel C response Tub install:Joel said resetting the tub could cause a lot of other issues with the tile, shower doors, etc. He said if we live with the way it is, we won’t have to pay the remaining balance. I said we definitely want it reset. He kept trying to talk me out of it. Joel said they’d have to take down our kitchen ceiling to reach the plumbing. Then, he said he can’t do it for months. I still said I want it fixed. He said to call him back with a decision. Even though I insisted we want it fixed, he wouldn’t accept my answer.But wait, it gets better. James C, his nephew who manages the projects, texts me the next day saying they’ll fix everything this weekend. He had no idea Joel and I had spoken.Ultimately, we spoke to other contractors who said that if we have it reset, it will cause new bathroom issues and will be worse than before. We told James we decided to live with it. Door:Carpenter cut the bathroom door molding incorrectly so the door kept hitting it. He didn't want to remove the molding so his workaround was to shave bottom of door. Told him that shaving the bottom won’t stop the side of the door from hitting, but he did it anyway and it still hit. Carpenter blamed us for choosing that molding and didn’t think it was a big deal that the molding was chipping away from the door hitting it. He insisted they don’t make wider strike jams to protect the molding. His solution was to cut the strike jam, move it out of place, fill in the old area with caulk. It looked awful. I found a bigger strike jam online and installed it myself Now, there’s an uneven gap under the door.Remaining issue:The remaining issue is the grout cracking off around the tub When James was trying to fix the grout back in October (months before I reported the grout cracking issue to Master, not months), I told James he should be using caulk so it could flex James said he brought caulk, but wants to try grout James said if it cracks, he’ll come back and replace with caulk Well, it cracked I left two messages for Master, but they never called me back.I have this all in writing by way of emails and text messages from James C James said "Grout would need to be periodically replaced Caulk should be a one time installI can do either around the tub *** caulk is probably better than grout so it doesn't crack again.” My response was “let’s do caulk.” This also shows that James was aware it was already cracking In the attachment, my messages are in blue, James in grey.Thank you.*** ***

As a company we offer a warranty of (1) year on labor and  the cabinet  company offers the warranty on the materials , that information is provided on the agreement  between Master Kitchens & Baths and [redacted] .As a courtesy to the customer whom I do value ,I was willing to send one of my installers to do a service call for a fee.
