Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Accusations were absolutely madeThe clothes had no holes or rips prior to sending, we took pictures as wellNormally when you take items to the dry cleaner, it's because they are in need of cleaning, so yes, perfume, deodorant, etcare very possibly on the clothes and you are being paid for servicing those items, not damaging them The leather jacket was definitely processed, as the chemical smell is still very much thereI've also taken it to several dry cleaners, who confirmed it was inappropriately treated because you assumed it was real leather without checking the tag The $was agreed upon and furthermore, you agreed to moreI send you a detailed outline of what it would cost to replace those items and the total was $744.18, which you agreed to pay in full over the phoneI will absolutely not return this amount, when you've damaged over $worth of clothes The bottom line is you are a dishonest company and regardless of how long you've been in business, you handled this without careInstead of admitting you made a mistake, you are claiming you did nothing wrongEven when I requested you send me the bill so I can verify you didn't charge anything incorrectly, you deliberately only sent the bill to the insurance adjusterI still have never seen the bill, but I can assure you made quite a bit of money on everything we trusted you withThat is the point of all this, you are a company that cannot be trusted Sincerely, [redacted] ***

***, No assumptions or accusations are being made, however because of the issues regarding the first load, we took pre-cleaning photos of the second load We were asked to clean items for construction dust and that is what we did We were not asked to replace missing buttons, repair holes/torn seams, or accept responsibility for preexisting conditions or damages, age or wear and tear of your garments Perspiration, makeup, perfume and cologne can also cause damage to clothing over time As said before, well-worn and well loved We have over years of dry-cleaning experience We clean clothing of all types for the police department, city officials, sheriffs, federal employees, doctors, attorneys and many other retail clients We work with multiple insurance industry customers along with other dry-cleaners that we do specialty items for around the state including traditional clothing of all types We gave you $for items from the first load that we did not damage while also returning those items to you The 4th item in question, the black pleather jacket, was not processedWe feel like the $should now be returned At this point though, we are going to close the file If you want to discuss further you can call but this is our stance on the situation It has been a pleasure working with you and I wish you the best for new year Respectfully, David K [redacted] DLS Textile & Electronic Restoration Email ***@dlsrestore.com

Accusations were absolutely made. The clothes had no holes or rips prior to sending, we took pictures as well. Normally when you take items to the dry cleaner, it's because they are in need of cleaning, so yes, perfume, deodorant, etc. are very possibly on the clothes and you are being paid for servicing those items, not damaging them.
The leather jacket was definitely processed, as the chemical smell is still very much there. I've also taken it to several dry cleaners, who confirmed it was inappropriately treated because you assumed it was real leather without checking the tag.
The $600 was agreed upon and furthermore, you agreed to more. I send you a detailed outline of what it would cost to replace those items and the total was $744.18, which you agreed to pay in full over the phone. I will absolutely not return this amount, when you've damaged over $1500 worth of clothes.
The bottom line is you are a dishonest company and regardless of how long you've been in business, you  handled this without care. Instead of admitting you made a mistake, you are claiming you did nothing wrong. Even when I requested you send me the bill so I can verify you didn't charge anything incorrectly, you deliberately only sent the bill to the insurance adjuster. I still have never seen the bill, but I can assure you made quite a bit of money on everything we trusted you with. That is the point of all this, you are a company that cannot be trusted.

[redacted],
No assumptions or accusations are being made, however because of the issues regarding the first load, we took pre-cleaning photos of the second load.  We were asked to clean items for construction dust and that is what we did.  We were not asked to replace missing buttons, repair...

holes/torn seams, or accept responsibility for preexisting conditions or damages, age or normal wear and tear of your garments.  Perspiration, makeup, perfume and cologne can also cause damage to clothing over time.  As said before, well-worn and well loved.
We have over 20 years of dry-cleaning experience.  We clean clothing of all types for the police department, city officials, sheriffs, federal employees, doctors, attorneys and many other retail clients.  We work with multiple insurance industry customers along with 30 other dry-cleaners that we do specialty items for around the state including traditional clothing of all types.
We gave you $600.00 for 3 items from the first load that we did not damage while also returning those items to you.  The 4th item in question, the black pleather jacket, was not processed. We feel like the $600.00 should now be returned.
At this point though, we are going to close the file.
If you want to discuss further you can call but this is our stance on the situation.
It has been a pleasure working with you and I wish you the best for new year.
Respectfully,
David K[redacted]
