I brought my motorcycle to this shop. After 3 months of empty promises, I picked up my bike in pieces in the rain. They lost parts and won't refund meMy motorcycle was working when I dropped it of to this shop on February 20th. The owner, [redacted] told me he could handle the restoration work, fix the shifter shaft (which was working when I dropped it off) and add after market products. I dropped off a new handle bar, turn signals indicator lights, a tail light, and new exhausts. I waited patiently and checked in on the progress here and there. [redacted] always assured me the work was being handled. Three months later, [redacted] called me and said I owed $500 for labor and parts since they needed tools to remove my engine. They told me they needed this payment continue the work. I paid over the phone with a credit card, expecting the work to be completed within the next week. However, another 3 weeks went by with even more empty promises and vague status reports. They would tell me the bike would be ready and then when I went to collect it would not be ready. It was very hard to plan rides and became extremely frustrating. Finally, I asked them to reassemble my bike and have it ready for me to pick up. When I came to the shop on July 5th, the bike was just a skeleton. The tank and the engine were NOT secured to the frame, it was missing it's clutch and break, and they left ALL of the extra parts in a box in the rain. They were not around to help me load into my truck the bike either. On top of that they lost some of my new parts so I've had to reorder them. Extremely unsatisfied on July 8th, I asked [redacted] about a refund for the $500 payment. He told me he couldn't offer me a refund since the money already went to his technicians. He said I'd need to get the money from them since they are the once that did the work. He said he "never touched my bike". I've very disappointed that he cannot take responsibility for promising me a service and refunding my expenses. It's very frustrating to wait so long and spend money on a service that wasn't received.Desired SettlementSince I spent $500 to have my bike repaired and reassembled with the new parts I ordered and received my bike in 100 pieces, I'd really like a refund. Now I have to pay a new shop to fix DMC's mistakes and order new parts that went missing. I would like the owner [redacted] to take full responsibility for pushing his technicians to do a job they were not capable of doing and dropping the ball. He should refund my money since he is the owner and he gave the money to his techs after giving them the order to do the job.
