Review: I contacted Nelsons to get the pool at my new house in working condition with a new salt water system. They were aware that the pool had not been used for several years and there was a pond growing in it. It took over 2 weeks and several calls to get a verbal quote for the components required. When checking my credit card statement I found that the amount that was charged was in excess of what was quoted. I was not given a written break down until they arrived for the installation (a week later than promised) despite requesting one prior to that. When the installer came out to complete our order he found that the structure of the pool was not sound. In my opinion this should have been looked into initially. With no option offered to return my existing purchase, my only options were to lose the money I already spent or spend additional money. A month later when the installer came out again I was told that another $1000 would be required to prepare the area for the installation. I had deliberately called several days ahead of the installation to try and prevent this situation from happening. I was reassured that what I had done would be sufficient and that I might have an additional fee for some sand which I had agreed to. After speaking with the owner she agreed to waive the fee but the job that I was quoted to take 2 men a full day and require additional sand was done in about an hour and half with no sand brought in. Later that day I was informed that I needed a pump which I had been under the impression I had already purchased. At that point I could lose my entire investment or pay another $600 for a pump. When I went to plug the pump in I found that we did not have the correct electrical system which delayed getting our pool in a usable condition even further. After being denied a discount I paid the remainder of my bill conveyed to me only verbally in order to the defective hose they installed replaced. A week later, it is still not fixed.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the discount I originally requested, 10%. We have continued to lose money with water leaking out of the pump hose and have received terrible service.

Response:
I have not received a response from the company nor have they come
out to fix the defective product they installed. I am very unsatisfied
with the company's efforts.
