It is true we do not have a solid paper contract, but Beatriz agreed verbally to Emily *** that we could start right awayShe has only been with DNA Landscapes for a single monthWe trusted her to return the contract signed which she failed to doWe started her service right away with her verbal agreementSince we don't have a paper contract we will terminate her service immediatelyWe will still need full payment for the services providedWe can forward our record of service dates if necessary for all month
Our Loyal employee's have never received a complaint for their service thus forcing me to trust their statement on this first incident when Beatriz is a new customer to DNA LandscapesWe have still not received payment from her for the service of July to both propertiesHer claim to have paid is since I am the one who logs payments inIf she has sent a check over the mail we have not received itI don't think it correct for a person to complain about something she has not paidWe serviced her house for the month of July and her mothersNo payment has been received and she is complaining about a over charge that has not been paidWe as DNA have never received a complaint since we solve any minor issue with customers quicklyWe are a business and do need payment for the rendered servicesLet's not forget this is business and there is no point in us operating for without compensation for our workDNA Landscapes keep weekly logs that we follow when billing. I cannot take this complaint serious since she has not paid, or have a signed contract.
The services will be terminated effective immediately since there is no contract.
The bill for service provided still stand since Beatriz verbally agreed to the price and service to DNA Landscapes employee Emily ***In the state of Illinois verbal contract are held in court I do apologize for any inconvenience, but we have to follow our logs for billing.

Per Proposal dated 4/30/2016, DNA was to repair broken brick pavers, re-adhere loose bricks, power wash, sand, and seal all brick paver areas at my residence.
Led by Cesar [redacted] Sr., they started the project on Monday 6/20, sanded on Friday 6/24, and sealed on Saturday 6/25.
By doing so, DNA Landscapes, Inc. failed to follow the installation directions posted by [redacted].

That action negated any and all product warranties.
On Wednesday 8/10, DNA emailed me an invoice assuming that the project was complete. On Thursday 8/11, I emailed a request for a meeting with both Cesar Sr. and Cesar [redacted] Jr. to do a walk thru inspection and discuss the areas that we were not happy with. That request was denied several time because Cesar Sr. was behind and too busy with other projects.
DNA never finished the project: Bricks that were to be re-secured failed, they were re-secured a 2nd time and have failed again. The second sand installation has washed away in several spots on the driveway near the garages and on the rear patio. DNA ignored constant complaints about the white Polymeric Haze all over the brick pavers and never addressed that issue.
On Monday 8/22, Sean [redacted] from [redacted] inspected my brick pavers and suggested a process to fix the Polymeric Haze problem. Here is his evaluation:

It was a pleasure meeting you and your wife; unfortunately it wasn’t on the ideal conditions. Below is my assessment of your paver’s condition after the contractor you had previously hired performed the original work.
Polymeric Sand Install:
- The sand was installed to high above the chamfer height. The reason a chamfer is in place is to redirect water. Once stabilized sand is in place, it becomes a “shed system”.
- No compaction was performed. This is a must in any application of our product.
- The wetting or water application process was not performed to our instructions. One application? and to “what area did they start from?” The sand needs to be activated from the lowest point.
Sealer Application:
- Surface was not cleaned to our specifications.
- The sealer was applied in a two-day time frame. We recommend 30 days after the installation on new polymeric sand.
- Day temperature may have been to warm (splotchy and inconsistent appearance).

Paver Restoration
?1) Chemically treat with Techniseals Paver Restorer 3,838 sqft. of brick paver driveway, front walk, rear walk, patio, stoops and apron.
2) Hand scrub and flush all areas above to remove hazing of failing polymeric sand
3) Address areas with accumulated sand (ie: corners, under steps and step on rear patio)
4) Spray and back roll Xylene to all areas above to try and re-emulsify failed solvent based sealer and blend out to the best of our ability.
*Seal-It-Rite cannot guarantee complete restoration of pavers.

On 9/1/16 I requested a refund of my deposit and to be paid the difference between the original contract and the cost to restore. His organization refused to accept that letter.

Delayed a couple times. Was not told they were not coming. Had to call each time. Had a question and was never called back. Made my payments on time but online from my bank. Was called continually for payments even when I told them the bank would sending a check. Men doing the work were pleasant and worked hard.
