Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship. With our senior patients, it is our recommendation to have an examination semi-annually to monitor the patients’ health and medical conditions. At minimum we require our patients to be examined annually. At the time of examinations, we will be able to determine if the prescribed prescriptions and or prescription diets are still the proper recommendation and or treatment. In cases with patients with overdue exams; body condition, weight and medical conditions can drastically change and require a different treatment plan. To provide the utmost medical care our hospital strives to offer, our Doctors need to be able to examine patients in structured period of time. For the case that has been presented to the Revdex.com, the patient’s last exam was January 6, 2016. This would put the patient over 1 ½ year without a full comprehensive examination. This is non-conducive to upholding a proper Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship and properly maintaining a patient’s medical conditions. Owner was informed on multiple occasions that patient was overdue for an examination and an examination would be required prior to any further refills of medication or prescription diets. **Client was informed on 1/19/2017 with her prescription refill and a voicemail was left for the owner on 3/25/17 stating that patient was overdue for an examination. We always want to ensure that an owner has been informed of overdue requirements, to allow them time to setup an examination**Unfortunately, due to disrespectful interactions and statements received from the client, we feel that it would be best to end our Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship. It will be best for the client to seek Veterinary Medical Care with another facility. We do not have a mobile Veterinarian within our network of hospitals. This is why it was recommended to research a Veterinarian that would best fit the Client and Patient’s needs. Camille C[redacted]Hospital Manager Dobson Ranch Animal Hospital and Grooming, PLC
