Revdex.com, I am the Owner of Doc Watson's A.R We have been in business since I have owned many *** vehicles and know how to repair them I have contacts that can perform the necessary updates when needed 1st of all, *** *** ownes a *** *** The car was
brought to the shop while I was on vacation, running poorly and the customer also wanted the brakes checked Garrett, my son is a graduate of ***, has been trained and employed by me as well Upon initial diagnosis, the car had MANY trouble codes in its many systems Also the car was leaking oil externally The charge pipes (intake tubes on a turbo engine) were very, very oily Oil on the sensors in the intake system were not able to function properly The oil has been contaminating these sensors for a long time The *** turbochargers are a known and common problem for delivering oil to this section Therefore, Garrett did a good job on his diagnosis The car had over trouble codes stored in memory With all there problems, diagnosis is time consuming and to perform a thorough one takes time With all these problems on *** ***'s ***Garrett called on a free lance trouble shooter in our area He also spent time going over the problems and agreed that the turbo was the main problem to the car To the best of my knowledge, from what Garrett told me, the estimate for the diag was always (before taxes) When I returned and told him it was 265.00, that included the tax Also Garrett did not avoid his calls, the phone line, when someone is on Line 2, it rolls to Line and the fax machine is on that line The *** given to *** *** also included the brake system to be inspected I feel that *** *** got a very good diagnostic job *** *** had also taken his car to another shop prior to me He looks for an inexpensive repair Enclosed you find an article that shows the resoning for diagnostic labor charges Also the invoice and the letter with payment from *** ***.One more thing, after the diagnosis, some cleaning and recalibrating, the car ran much better (cleaning the sensors is a temp fix)Thank you for your time, Craig W.Owner Doc Watson's in a nut shell - extensive diagnosis by an experienced mechanic, he was told the price of he was ok with it We never avoid calls he still owes me
