I am rejecting this response because:  I have no idea what this contractor is claiming.  He did not fire the worker who made threats against me and still talks about the worker even going so far as to say that he won't give me money until this worker pays him.  I told Doc that I don't care if his worker gives him half the money he owes me since he is the owner and he is responsible for the guarantee on my roof.  He claimed that I hired 8 other contractors when I only hired one to fix his faulty work.  I have the paperwork to prove that one contractor fixed his faulty work. His response was obviously made in anger and he put something in writing that was obviously baseless. Doc has had months to obtain the money to pay me back and yet, to this day, he has still not paid me a single dollar.  His actions indicate that he has no intention of paying me back the money that he owes me.  He even made a comment about me hiring one of his former workers or something like that.  You will have to ask him to give you a name of who he thinks I hired as I literally have no idea who he is talking about as I've never hired one of his current or former workers.  Why would I hire someone who was part of a team that did faulty work?  The contractor who fixed his faulty work is someone who was recommended to me by my neighbor and the contractor told me that he never heard of Doc's Roofing when he asked me who put on the roof that failed.  I tried repeatedly to work this out with Doc and he kept refusing to fix the problem and then refused to look at my roof and damaged walls and ceilings after I made that offer to him so that he would not complain when another contractor did the work.  After keeping the costs low, I am surprised that Doc is not thanking me for having class and not going to the Revdex.com sooner.  Instead, he refused to pay me any money and forced me to go to the Revdex.com.  Others need to hear about the work he does, the true nature of his "guarantees" and the way that he breaks his "word" and does not even pay a customer back after promising to do so.
Regards,

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  This contractor has cheated me out of my money by doing faulty work that I had to pay someone else to fix.  I sent you the invoices for what I had to pay another contractor to fix his work and the invoices detailed the work that was done.  On the invoice, you will note that there is a phone number and it is ok w me if you contact the contractor directly.  The contractor is stunned that a licensed roofer did such poor work and they are equally as stunned that a contractor would give a warranty in writing and then not stand behind it.  Doc's story about the roof leaking because of a natural weather occurrence moving the gutter did not make sense to my other roofer and me because the roof leaked in two places (the front of the house and the back of the house) and the gutter is only in the back.  Why was there a major leak in the front of the house?  If the leak was caused by snow or ice moving the gutter, the other roofer would have noticed that.  Instead, they traced the leak and found out that it was coming because water was getting under the roof since one of the vents was not sealed properly.  The roofers took pictures of it and both of the roofers witnessed it.  They were highly offended when I told them that Doc is now saying that they were making up the fact that water was getting under the roof via the poorly sealed vent.  I've sent you photos and gave you my story.  At this point in time, the contractor is actually calling me names in an official document.  I am seeking reimbursement from the contractor and not trying to make a profit.  Please continue to keep him off the approved Revdex.com list as I repeatedly tried to work something out w this contractor and he ignored me.  I was forced to contact the Revdex.com and it's a real shame that I had to take this step.  Contractors should stand behind their work.  I stand 100% behind every single comment I made to you about this contractor's faulty work.  I wish I never had to pay anyone to fix his work.  It's obviously money out of my pocket and now I am having a lot of trouble recovering the money.
