Doctor Rooter

Review: Doctor Rooter ([redacted]) came to my home on May 20th to assess and unplug a garage drain. Not only did [redacted] not unplug it because he could not get the drain cover off, but he wrongly assessed the problem without being able to see the problem (which he called a French drain that was filled). He said that Doctor Rooter could fix it for $1,000 by digging and tiling. I wrote him a check for $99 (#1093) before he left. When I continued to have a water problem, I called Butler Plumbing. Their person removed the cover, assessed that it was not a French drain and proceeded to unplug by opening it and fix the overflowing drain so that it now works.

When I contacted Doctor Rooter to tell them that they had done nothing to fix the problem and wrongly assessed the problem on May 22nd, they agreed to send me a $50 refund; I agreed that they could keep $49 for the mileage and time. This seemed like a fair settlement.

I have called Doctor Rooter ([redacted]) 7 times regarding this $50 refund that was to come in a few days; then by June 15th; then by June 26th. it is now June 28th and there is no check for $50 after 7 calls and various promises from them. I told them the last 2 times that I called that if I didn't receive the check that I would report them.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the $50 refund check that Doctor Rooter (I believe the name was [redacted]) promised.

Review: I have called the local company that did the work and explained that they over billed us and he said he would call right back. I Waited 3 days

and called the madison number and he knew I had called and said the

person in Beloit was very busy and that he would call to remind him. It has been three weeks with no attempt to communicate with at all, not even to just say I'm sorry.Desired Settlement: We just want what is owed to us nothing more

Do not call this company. Period. Not only did the guy not fix the issue with my main sanitary drain, he made it worse. Before "service" the water at least did drain, albeit very slow. Now, the water does not drain. The guy also failed to put the lid back on the clean out so when the water started to back up again, it came out the clean out as well and now I have a mess at the floor drain and the clean out on the other side of the basement. It appears that he didn't use a cutter on the end of the snake. I told him I have root intrusion but he still didn't use a cutter. I'll say it again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I would never ever recommend these people to anyone they way over charged us for services they did and we were in need to have the work done so we had to have them do it then we called them to come look at the problem with the product they installed a few years before and said oh maybe in a cpl day but check your battery to see if thats it . I did and it was not I believe it was another problem they said they need to look up parts for it and would call me back in 15 minutes and they never did and now its 3 days later .
