Dear sir,
The customer called with a coolant leak and an oil leakWe pressured tested coolant system and found upper radiator hose leakingWe checked oil leak and found dip stick was out and needed new o-rings
The work we did was not
related to the Altfailure
We found numerous other things wrong with the car and contacted the customer He was aware that the message board was not always correct (not uncommon for a to Volvo S 80)
While working on the car twice the electrical system failure appearedWe tested the charging system and each time the system was charging correctly
Mother message was the gas cap was missingWe replaced the cap and cleared the message
Message for no oil pressure occurred twice during test drivesWe tested the pressure and the engine had good oil pressureThe customer stated that he knew that and the message came up all the time
told the customer when he picked up the car that the message board was "like the boy who cried wolf"do not know if the message board is truth or fiction
Customer stated that he didn't have a lot of money so we did the things that were necessary for his safetyWe did replace his tail light bulbs and turn signal light at no cost and inspected the head light
His gas door didn't not shut so we ordered alling for it which he did not come back to get

The alternator was already replaced by a triple a preferred shop for a much lower price, and was not including my Triple A discountI am told by a friend who is a mechanic that there were multiple other issues wrong with the car that drV has not brought to my attention and am very confused aboutI would like to know why I wasn't told that new motor mount would be needed as the I would think that would be a big safety repair Kama as well as a lower arm control bushing, a new serpentine belt was also brought to my attention I I neededYes I did state that the message board you would usually show a engine light and that was pretty common but the battery light was not, which most likely had everything to do with the alternator going bad
