Will I get a paper stating that my account will be a $00.00 balance? Also is the $100.00 refund being sent to my address as a check?

Thank you for providing Doctors Hospital of Manteca (DHM) the opportunity to respond to the complaint received by your office.  The patient referenced above received services at our hospital on January 23, 2012 in our Emergency Department.   Services for the patient included a CT Scan, clinical laboratory services and emergency room services.     Our charges are determined on a historical basis. For example, charges for new procedures will be calculated based on existing similar procedures. Other factors which may determine charges include market-competitive pricing; supply costs; labor costs; the high cost of uncompensated care; federal laws and regulations regarding charges and reimbursements; federal, state and city taxes; health insurance costs; and the costs ofnew technology and equipment. I have reviewed the charges for this services and have determined that all charges are approprite.  If you require further assistance with this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

The business responded to this complaint but asked that its response not be published.

Ok thank you very much. Do I get a copy of a invoice showing the zero balance? I'll receive a check in the mail for the reimbursement?

Consumer states: I am still looking for my statement showing a 0 balance. I am not able to log in or speak to customer service.

Review: On 04/13/2015 I took my son to the emergency room for a high fever that kept returning and we couldn't control. After waiting for 30-45 minutes, my son was seen and administered a dose of motrin and tylenol to help reduce the fever. After about 15-20 mins the medicine was taking effect and his fever was reducing. Eventually my son was seen by the emergency room nurse, and we were let go. Doctors hospital sent me a bill stating the entire cost which was $1,608.34 minus $376.35 for being a in network hospital, supposedly my insurance only paid them $415.78, we paid a $100.00 payment that night in the emergency room, and now we had the balance of $716.21. According to my UFCW statement for that claim, they were paid $1,231.99, including $816.21 out of my HRA account. I have maid numerous calls to doctors billing department, and all they kept telling me is that I owe them the $716.21 and my insurance had only covered $415.78. I have also maid numerous calls to my insurance and have been told that they were paid in full and that I do not owe them anything, and that doctors hospital should be refunding us the $100.00 that we covered that night in the emergency room because of the $816.21 that was applied to the bill from my HRA account. I am really frustrated and feel that I have not gotten anywhere with this bill. I believe that doctors hospital has been paid in full by my insurance and that they probably have misplaced that payment or entered information wrong somewhere. Also this hospital is very expensive for there services.Desired Settlement: My desired resolution would be that I owe $00.00 to doctors hospital as I read in my claim statement from my insurance, and that they should refund me the $100.00 that we covered that night of 04/13/2015 in the emergency room.

Review: I have received a bill from doctors hospital regarding my son [redacted] hospital service. They are saying that I owe them $2079.86, my insurance at the time had already payed them off. I get no where with doctors hospital of manteca billing employees. They keep sending me the bills. I have uploaded a copy of the invoice claim that my insurance has provided for me on there website showing that it is paid in full and I do not owe anything. The charge was $2,155.39, then there was a PPO discount of $1,441.82, then there was a deductible of $526.84, and the coinsurance of $28.01. My insurance payed them $713.57, and then $554.85 was applied from my HRA account to cover the rest of the deductibles.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a invoice stating that I do not owe anything to doctors hospital since it has been paid in full.
