We apologize for not specifically address Mr [redacted] points We amend our response to address his specific points as follows: Unfortunately, we do not record phone calls so I cannot specifically elaborate on the conversation Mr [redacted] had with the person that he initially spoke However, the Department of Education does not offer a zero percent interest rate programsOur representative presented to us he was stating by reducing the term by fifteen years his effective interest rate would be significantly less than he’s currently paying2./The program Mr [redacted] was submitted is income based and the program is based on Mr [redacted] annual income The confusion with FedLoan is that Mr [redacted] did not inform FedLoan he will be filling individually not jointly FedLoan assumed Mr [redacted] files taxes jointly and for Mr [redacted] to receive the biggest benefit he would file as an individual It is not the responsibility of FedLoan nor does it behoove them to explain to Mr [redacted] how he could save the most amount of money This is one of the many reason people hire us because we are experts at saving consumers money Mr [redacted] did not incur “additional” interest The interest owed is the interest accrued on Mr [redacted] loans The interest is not extra or additional It’s simple accrued interest associated with any fully amortizing loan Mr [redacted] was in direct contact with our processor (Mindy) and the processor even provided Mr [redacted] her cell phone number providing Mr [redacted] an extra layer of service and comfort On more than one occasion Mr [redacted] even exchanged text message after business hours Mr [redacted] was treated with the utmost respect as are all of our clientsAccording to the processor – ***, Mr [redacted] expressed on more than one occasion he wanted to pay his loans off sooner and Mr [redacted] is right, he could just make additional principal payments but that will not get him best possible saving benefit The service and solution we provided offered Mr [redacted] the best possible financial solution, but Mr [redacted] chose to unwind it We’ve been providing services like the services we provided for Mr [redacted] for over two years and have zero complaints It’s unfortunate Mr [redacted] chose to not to trust the company he hired, but we provided Mr [redacted] the exact service he requested It is my opinion the deception Mr [redacted] is speaking was from the representative at FedLoan who manipulated him in to not believing he would be able to use just his income, therefore creating dissention between us and Mr [redacted] It is in FedLoan that is guilty of deliberate deception They’re a finance company, their business plan is predicated on charging consumers interest for as long as they can, which is exactly the reason they convinced Mr [redacted] to keep his existing loan and term They’re the only one between the three parties that stands to gain financially I hope Mr [redacted] finally understands we had his best financial interest in mind when we provided the service he entrusted

Hello,
I just wanted to let you know that this issue has indeed been resolvedI found out that the person I originally was working with ended up on a leave of absence and I now have someone else in charge of my accountI have talked to him and everything is good now.
Thanks for all your help!

So the short version is we did complete the consolidation however the 2nd part of changing his repayment plan required a document from *** in which he didn’t cooperate and wouldn’t send to us so he could complete this last simple step himself and then try to not pay us As you can
see he wants us to refund him 100% of his fee when we did all the work minus this last small step due to him not sending us the signed document to submit to the DOE. By him handling this final document everything was completed yet now he is asking for his money back when we did 95% of the work. Since we are an organization that operates at the highest levels of integrity we will assist him in resolving this matter however needed but for us to do all the work and then him not assist in getting us the last signed document for the 2nd part of completing his repayment plan change it is not our fault nor anything we can do. However *** would like us to finalize the resolution we are open to assisting but he needs to be fair and know his approach is unethical and puts companies that work hard to make a living out to dry! Please let us know how to proceed Robert and we are willing to do whatever is needed, thanks for your assistance in this matter. Kindest Regards, *** *** Toll Free Direct: *** Direct: ***

They received all required paperwork, with my signature. I have copies of all paperwork and communication and can prove I sent them over as requested, with my signature on them, TWICE. They have operated with zero integrity, even now as we try to come up with a solution. I have already contacted the federal government who has given me the same thing you promised. They did it in 1 hour and for free and also informed me of the scam that is your company. I paid you in good faith to complete a task and over 2 years later, you still haven't completed it. Regards,
[redacted] The response by Docuprepserv appears to be scripted and does not reference any of the points that I made which I will mention again... 1. I was initially told repeatedly that the new terms would be at 0% interest, this claim was conveniently denied once my fee of $817.00 was collected2. I was also repeatedly told that my monthly payment would be $497.00 and that ENTIRE payment would go towards principal, when I received the final terms the monthly payment was $613.00 with $177.00 applied to interest.. I was also told by FedLoan that $177.00 is a fixed monthly interest payment.3. I was told this new "income based" term would be based only on my yearly income and not a joint income... according to FedLoan this is false.it appears that I agreed to these terms under false pretense and I would also like to mention that I was told the entire process would take 3 months, after 3 months passed no one new the status of my new terms and it took another 4 months to resolve it and during that time I had incurred an additional interest of $1,151.00... I had emails that went un answered, phone calls that weren't returned and at one point I repeatedly attempted to contact 3 different people and when I finally got someone I was rudely reprimanded for my repeated attempts.I have since worked with FedLoan to revert my terms back to their original structure. The only truth to Docuprep's claim is that I would have paid the loan off sooner and saved money in the long run but I could do that on my own by simply making the additional payment towards principal. I conclude and it is my belief that Docuprepserv preys on people like me that get desperate to pay down these enormous college debts and they will say anything to mislead people to pay for their service that in reality people can do on their own.yes I signed an agreement with Docuprepserv which shows I agreed to pay them for their service but isn't it convenient for them that I don't even see these "new terms" until I'm all paid up and I've heard from FedLoan with the "new terms" that in reality are essentially nothing that I agreed to?...  Isn't deliberate deception the definition of fraud?[redacted]

To Whom it May Concern:
When
Mr. [redacted] first inquired about Docuprepserv’s student loan documentation
preparation service, Mr. [redacted] had informed us that he had previously
consolidated his Student Loans.  He informed us his consolidated Student
Loan was  in repayment under...

the Department of Educations “graduated”
repayment plan.  He stated he was paying approximately two hundred and
seventy four dollars per month ($274.00 ).  The term of his existing
consolidated Student loan was twenty-five years (25). He expressed to us that
he’d rather pay off his loan in a lot less time. At the request of Mr. [redacted]
and on his behalf, Docuprepserv prepared, processed and submitted the necessary
documentation to the DOE.  Mr. [redacted] was submitted for approval for the
DOE’s Income Contingent Repayment Program ( ICR ) and Public Service Loan
Forgiveness (PSLF) program.  Mr. [redacted] was approved for the ICR and his
new payment is 497.00 per month.  Also, Mr. [redacted] loan term was reduced
by fifteen years.  We informed Mr. [redacted] of his status and savings
(approximate savings of $24,360) and Mr. [redacted] expressed some concern and we
explained everything as stated above to his satisfaction.
Mr.
[redacted] hired us to prepare, process and submit his request to the DOE for an
ICR.  This is the exact service provided by Docuprepserv and  Mr.
[redacted] has benefited from this service by saving approximately $24,360.
We do not believe a refund (or complaint) is warranted. Attached are the proofs of Docuprepserv doing it's job in compliance with services rendered by Mr. [redacted].

We apologize for not specifically address Mr. [redacted] points.  We amend our response to address his specific points as follows:
Unfortunately, we do not record phone calls so I cannot specifically elaborate on the conversation Mr. [redacted] had with the person that he initially spoke.  However, the Department of Education does not offer a zero percent interest rate programs. Our representative presented to us he was stating by reducing the term by fifteen years his effective interest rate would be significantly less than he’s currently paying.
2./3. The program Mr. [redacted] was submitted is income based and the program is based on Mr. [redacted] annual income.  The confusion with FedLoan is that Mr. [redacted] did not inform FedLoan he will be filling individually not jointly.  FedLoan assumed Mr. [redacted] files taxes jointly and for Mr. [redacted] to receive the biggest benefit he would file as an individual.  It is not the responsibility of FedLoan nor does it behoove them to explain to Mr. [redacted] how he could save the most amount of money.  This is one of the many reason people hire us because we are experts at saving consumers money.  Mr. [redacted] did not incur “additional” interest.  The interest owed is the interest accrued on Mr. [redacted] loans.  The interest is not extra or additional.  It’s simple accrued interest associated with any fully amortizing loan.  Mr. [redacted] was in direct contact with our processor (Mindy) and the processor even provided Mr. [redacted] her cell phone number providing Mr. [redacted] an extra layer of service and comfort.  On more than one occasion Mr. [redacted] even exchanged text message after normal business hours.  Mr. [redacted] was treated with the utmost respect as are all of our clients.
According to the processor – [redacted], Mr. [redacted] expressed on more than one occasion he wanted to pay his loans off sooner and Mr. [redacted] is right, he could just make additional principal payments but that will not get him best possible saving benefit.  The service and solution we provided offered Mr. [redacted] the best possible financial solution, but Mr. [redacted] chose to unwind it.
We’ve been providing services like the services we provided for Mr. [redacted] for over two years and have zero complaints.  It’s unfortunate Mr. [redacted] chose to not to trust the company he hired, but we provided Mr. [redacted] the exact service he requested.  It is my opinion the deception Mr. [redacted] is speaking was from the representative at FedLoan who manipulated him in to not believing he would be able to use just his income, therefore creating dissention between us and Mr. [redacted].
It is in FedLoan that is guilty of deliberate deception.  They’re a finance company, their business plan is predicated on charging consumers interest for as long as they can, which is exactly the reason they convinced Mr. [redacted] to keep his existing loan and term.  They’re the only one between the three parties that stands to gain financially.
I hope Mr. [redacted] finally understands we had his best financial interest in mind when we provided the service he entrusted.
