Dog Ear is committed to ensuring accurate accounting of author book sales, and timely payment of author profitWe are occasionally hampered by our distribution partners, as we rely on them for both accurate data and timely payments before we are able to forward both data and monies on to our authors.I apologize for the long delay in compiling accurate sales data and forwarding the associated profit paymentsWe processed payment yesterday and the check is on its way

I personally responded to the author's email and by phone and have promised a full refund Unfortunately, we were able to please this author We tried to accommodate her requests by turning the entire proof around in two weeks This is a process that normally requires to months
to complete However, we were trying to help the author meet a particular date We feel that the book design we created was good In fact, we were proud of the book design We understand that the author is unhappy It isn't our intention to make authors unhappy with Dog Ear Publishing We've apologized and have promised a full refund. We were making excuses We did our very best to meet the author's expectations Normally, there is a back and forth between the author and Dog Ear Publishing This is what we call the proofing process There are times when we get the first proof right However, more than not, the process involves the author and Dog Ear Publishing to work through the details during the proofing process. I am sincerely sorry the author is unhappy But, we did our very best
