I asked her if her account showed a charge or an authorization for the amount in questions($83.26) She was not sure and just said it was charged3? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? I explained to her that we could have made a mistake and charge the card twice but if it was only authorized and voided off her bank would hold that authorization on her account for three business day and it would drop off.4? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? I checked our batched credit cards later and could not find a double charge for the amount in question ($82.26) so that showed us that it was only authorized and not charged6? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? In todays world where people have access to their bank accounts anytime, all businesses run into problems like thisMany people do not know how to read their accounts and see if amounts are charged or just authorizedUnfortunately if a card is authorized and voided off, all banks hold that authorization on the account until it drops off which is unfortunate for the consumer because that amount of money is not available to them until it does drops off, normally in three business days depending on the bank.?
