My son is treated at this facility. He was seen Tuesday the 24th and provided with a prescription, the Doctor electronically sent the prescription to the pharmacy that we advised. When contacting the pharmacy to fill the prescription, we were advised that they did not have the medication in stock and that they would have to order, it would take up to 1.5 weeks to receive. The pharmacy told us that we could have the doctor re-send the prescription to a different Walgreens that had the medication in stock. Since it was after business hours, the pharmacy and us called Dogon Medical on Wednesday to have the Prescription re-sent, were were told by the person that we spoke with the they would send a message to the Doctor to have it changed and they would call us back. We called numerous times Wednesday as well as the Pharmacy called on Wednesday, we keep being told that they would send a message and that it would be corrected and re-send at 5:30pm. That never happened. I called first thing today the 26th and first was hung up on by one of the office staff, when calling back I spoke to a different person who reviewed the notes and again said that he would send a message and would call me back. I advised that I would call back every 30 mins until I received a response as my Son needs his meds. I called back at 8:30 and spoke with John, he again told me that the Dr. had not responded, I asked to speak with his manager, *** put me on hold for about 10 mins, he then came back and said he would call me right back as he was on the phone with the Pharmacy. I did not receive a call back from *** so I called back and spoke with *** who is the acting supervisor as the actual supervisor is not there I am told. *** told me that she sees a message was sent at 8:06 this morning to the Doctor, when I asked why nothign was sent yesterday when we were calling all day all she could say is "yea". I asked why they could not go the 50 feet to the doctor and ask him to please check is messages, she told me they were not allowed to do that. She told me that the Medical Director Dr. *** is the one that needs to fix the prescription, but he is not the Dr. that my son saw.. Basically, they are horrible to deal with, we have been hung up on numerous times, all we are trying to do is get the prescription sent to a different pharmacy so that my son can have the medication that he needs. As it is right now, I am being told by the pharmacy if the doctor does not do his job and re-send the prescription my only option is to take my son to the ER to try and get a new prescription.
