Dogs Will Play

On August 31st, 2017, I boarded my two small dogs, [redacted] and ***, at Dogs Will Play in Concord for a night stay On Monday September 4th, 2017, while waiting for my flight home, I received a phone call from [redacted] (one of the facility's owners) informing me that my dog, ***, had been bitten by another dog and had succumbed to her injuries In [redacted] Liu's words, an employee who was "unfamiliar with their drop-off procedures" left the play room unattended to go to the front desk and check in an arriving dogDuring her absence, my dog (a Chihuahua-Stzu mix) was bitten on the stomach by another dog, the bite pierced a vital organ, and she bled to death The vet informed me that [redacted] was checked into the animal hospital on SATURDAY, September 1st at 11:41amPST Two days before I was contacted No representative from Dogs Will Play attempted to contact me until days AFTER this incident [redacted] Liu's excuse was that the employee was too distraught to contact me and the owners were out of town That is inexcusableDue to this facility's poorly trained staff, negligence, and incompetency, our beloved [redacted] died My kids and I are heartbroken Our one objective now is to spread the word about Dogs Will Play's negligence and incompetency to ensure that no other families have to go through this heartbreak at the hands of Dogs Will Play

On 7/8/I picked my dog up from a weekend of boarding with Dogs Will PlayUpon arriving I was informed that my dog had been in a "small scuffle & probably had an ear infection because he was shaking his head a lot"Apparently said scuffle happened on the morning of 7/7/& no one called to inform me that my dog had been injuredA trip to the vet revealed that he had lacerations of which were so deep they needed drains, and one had been bleeding into his ear canal for over hoursI then reached out to the owner on 7/10/who graciously agreed to settle the cost of the damages I incurred while my dog was under the care of her companyShe agreed to cover the cost of all veterinary care within daysdays from his last appointment was 8/12/and as of today 8/27/I have received no reply to any of my attempts to contact the owner of Dogs Will Play
