informed Mr. [redacted] that the unit was working properly and the unit will continue to run until it reaches the temperature that has been set. The service requests were both reported in late January when the weather was very cold. It is highly possible that due to the cold weather the unit was running more in order to keep the apartment at a warm temperature. The heating/cooling system in his unit is only 2 years old and If we believed that the system was not running properly the unit would have been replaced immediately. Regarding the sensor issue, [redacted] was told that the factory sets the sensor in the middle of the coil but if he wanted to have the unit kick on more often he could lower the sensor. If he wanted the unit to kick on less he could raise the sensor.  These options were only told to him to give him options to make him comfortable. Section 7 of the lease agreement states that residents are responsible for their electricity. The electricity is based on the resident’s usage and paid directly to Indianapolis Power & Light. Dogwood Glen does not believe that we are responsible for paying Mr. [redacted]’s electricity bill and decline to pay this bill. Dogwood Glen strives to provide the best service to all of our valued residents.
