have been a very busy since it is tax season, taking care of our active clients.  We will be happy to provide another copy of the companys tax return as soon as time permits.
We have provided at least two copies of the tax returns to the client prior, we recommend if he does not have time to wait for us then he should use one of the previous copies we sent him.

Review: Tax accountant, [redacted] over charged me $225 for a 'Schedule C' when I had the option to not file a 'schedule C'. I had no knowledge of this information until I seek a second opinion. She took advantage of my lack of knowledge about taxes. In addition, the accountant inputed the wrong information and made a verbal agreement to adjust her schedule to mine due to my work schedule. She lied to lure me in as a customer when she knew she could not commit. [redacted] has a prior claim against her by someone else with the Revdex.com for misconduct of service, so she is known for mishandle taxes and poor cutomer service. The conflict between [redacted] and I, is her refusal to give my 2012 tax information. She has violated her code of ethics, and performing professional misconduct. Her license should be revoked due to poor handling and mismanagement of other people's money and livelihood. I attempted to settled this matter with her civilly, but she was very demanding and abusive verbally and through her emails. I rather have a third party try to intervene in this matter. This hold-up is causing me to be a delinquent with the IRS. I believe that she is retaliating against me and want me to suffer the penalties that IRS may give.Desired Settlement: I would like for you to order her to return my personal tax documents, monies for the IRS penalties, and a written letter of apology for the inconvenience.

Response:

[redacted] signed an engagement with Doherty & Associates to prepare her 2012 tax return. They tax return was prepared; client was contacted and provided the results 6 days prior to tax extension deadline. However because we refused to stay open until 7 to 8:00 pm for her to pickup the return on the date it was due October 15th, she has decided to file a complaint against us. She chose to wait until the last day of the extension to address the late filing. She refused to arrive at our office during our office hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm because it did not fit her schedule. As for filling a Schedule C on her behalf, we are not permitted to discuss client privileged information however it is apparent she has no idea what she is talking about. The tax return was prepared as the signed engagement and the balance is outstanding.

Review: I am trying to find a new accountant and when I tried to tell Doherty & Associates of my plans to switch, all communication was shut off. My emails were not answered. I went to their office on Monday Feb. 10th, 2014 to ask for a copy of my 2012 taxes and was told that I would have them by Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday afternoon, I called and was told [redacted] was in a meeting and she was the only person who could send those to me. I also inquired about my $300 retainer while I was there on Monday and was told that that info would also be in my email with the copy of my taxes.Desired Settlement: I would just like a copy of my 2012 taxes and information on how to get my retainer back
