Dollar Boot and Jeans

Statement:The customers spouse purchased the bootsShe asked if they could be returned or exchanged if they did not fitWe told her that they could be returned or exchanged with a receipt and tags attached and that they CAN NOT be worn outsideWhen the customer came in days later with his receipt he told us they had only been worn in his homeWhen we took a look at them it was obvious that they had been worn outside as my employee picked grass stickers out of the lacesThey had dirt on the bottoms of themHis story then changed to maybe I wore them on the porch for a few hours and then changed again that he possibly wore them in the yardMy employee then got me and I tried to explain to him that I could not take them back because I can not put them back on the shelfHe then said if I would have cleaned them up better you would have never known I wore them outsideI told him that I could also feel his foot indention in the bootI explained to him all the reasons I could not exchange themI asked him if he would buy the boots off the shelf as they are and he proceeded to tell me he would for a "discounted" priceHe then proceeded to get mad and left the store with the bootsHe then returned a few days later to try and return them againWe once again told him the same thing that we could not take them backHe then said that the boots had a defect in them so I looked at them and I saw no defect in the bootsHe then became very belligerentProceeded to call us bad namesIt is very embarrassing that he treated my employees and I that way especially in front of other customersI then told him I could get him in touch with the owners and he proceeded to make threats to us and the ownersI gave him my name and the owners name once he found out I was the owners daughter he became even more disrespectful and aggressiveI got his name and phone number for the owners to call him and he threatened that he "expects to hear from him tonight" and that if he didn't receive a call from the owner he would come back to the store and hang out until he got this taken care ofWhen I called the owners he told me to call the police department and file a no trespass on him because our employees should not have to tolerate threats and harassment The police officer showed up and I myself gave them the statement of what happenedThe owners never once spoke to the officerThe police officer said that he would get all the information entered and notify him that he had been trespassed from Dollar Boots & JeansI have attached a copy of the police report due to the fact that in his statement he says that "the owners told the police department that they don't have to deal with disgruntled customers" This statement was never said as you can see on the police report
