This company is the most over quoted , unprofessional, and 1/completing a job company I've ever dealt withFirst I needed a roof repair, gutters cleaned and my chimmney sealedAfter I gave them a 20% deposit my wife said they were at the house for about an hour which I thought was very unlikely, to do all that in a hourThe next day I get a call demanding payment, something just didn't sit well with the work that was done, but I paid itThe next week my neighbor noticed that some the shingles were missing off the roof, the same area that was supposed to be repaired and my gutters were still full of dibrisI had to call the next day and the manager had to come out and complete the roof work but my gutters were never completedI will never call this company nor will I recommend to any homeowner
We have been working with Reader for yearsThey are meticulous and professional Their fees are very reasonable We have moved out of Ohio but still have our home in Ohio I can just sent them an email or call them to have them look into a problem that I've found while at the house Reader has always provided the fastest service I never have to worry about having to "supervise" their work I'm so glad I have Reader to depend on when I need them
Reader roofing did a full tear off of our existing roof (layers) and put on a new roof (ft of ice and water shield), soffit and ridge venting, and installed new gutters and downspouts in the fall of They also replaced the backporch roof the following spring with no issuesThey were quick about the work and finished it in a timely mannerThere were a couple small things that required followup, such as some of the downspouts not being sealed, but those were taken care of after I calledPanel vents were installed instead of continuous venting, but other than that, everything was done as it was stated in the contractThe following two winters, there were icicles hanging from the soffit vents on one side of the house, so water was getting into the soffitsWhen I called, they came out to check on itThe first year they suspected the issue was that the ice and water shield hadn't sufficiently stuck due to the roof going on late in the seasonWhen it happened the second time, they added an additional ft of ice and water shieldThat work was done with impressive speed as the workers finished it in a morningDuring that time we also noticed several holes in the fascia board from the old gutter systemWhen they were informed, they came out to caulk themThe following winter there was only one soffit vent that had icicles hanging from it and they were very small compared to the previous two yearsWe let them know and they have been responsive that they plan to look into it this summerWe also noticed a couple more holes in the fascia board which they let us know that they would take care of soon as wellOverall, they have been responsive to concerns and any aspects that have needed repair and are taking the necessary steps to make sure that the job is completeSince the issues have happened while roof was still under warranty, there have been no concerns about paying extra for those issuesIt is also worth noting that the front and back porches were done as well and have had no issues since

They treated my father who is years old with care understanding and patienceIt got to the point where my father needed help understanding what was going onChris at the company was able to get my number and talk to me and explain to me what was going on with my father's houseIt touched me so much it brought tears to my eyes when Chris told me "I've been dealing with your father for years and I have noticed that he has gotten older and he needs help." I really appreciate the personal attentionHe did not even have to do that he could have just did the work and not have my father understand what was going onIf I didn't know this was a big company I would have thought we were there only customerI will recommend Reader Roofing because of their honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, patience, understsnding and hard workNot only are they got say what they do they ate also family orientedWhich is rare in businesses today!!!
I have been a totally satisfied residential AND commercial property customer of Reader Roofing, Heating and Cooling for a number of years I came to know and use them because (1) their offices were very near my place of employment, (2) they handled slate roof repair & (3) they also handled copper roofing and gutters I find them totally reliable and very responsive to my needs -- both emergency repairs and planned upgrades Each job is fully discussed with me before work starts and all viable options are reviewed; one particularly valuable service is their ability to properly diagnose the actual source of "mysterious" water leaks -- and they are very helpful in arriving at the most cost-effective solution to any job My experience with them has run from major asphalt shingle roof repair on residential rental property, through repairs of flat roofing on commercial property, to garage and home (slate/flat) roof repairs, some of which included substantial carpentry repairs to roof supports and adjoining dormer cedar shingle siding These are my "go to" guys and I recommend them whole-heartedly
