At the end of February of u contracted me to do a granite and backsplash, it took months for u to decide what granite I was going to install and the tile for the backsplashAs contracted I installed granite in your kitchen and utility roomI installed a tile backsplash, installed sinks,
handled the re installation of the granite, all in approximately 1/daysU were so happy that u did not only paid me in full but contracted me again to supply and installed granite in an outside kitchenAgain u were so happy u paid me in full. Like about a month later *** *** calls me to let me know that a stupid contractor stood into the sink to work on the window, the sink de attached and she asked me to go and fix itMy office is miles away, I asked for $ for time and gasShe was bothered but after going there and fixing it she paid me. At the home and garden show I bumped into ** ***, we hugged, we shook hands, we were happy to see each other, he never mention anything negativeThat week I met with ** *** at his house miles away from me, at his request He went over a few things that needed attention which I gladly was willing to addressThen ** *** tells me they r not happy the way the sink looksThere is nothing wrong with the sink cut out, I fllowed the manufacturers template to the letter. ** and *** *** want me to remove and replace the sink granite areaThat will require a full slab ($cost of slab), I proposed ** *** for him to pay for the slab n I would supply the labor which will also include re installing the sink (plumbing). No, they want me to pay for everything, why?The job is finish, they are accusing me of not communicating and not being a man of my wordHow wrong! All lies from people that I find very unreasonable, not willing to recognize any effort on my part. Thank u for all the bad referrals u r about to meU want money back? The money is gone spent.how we'll u treat certain people u can not please them. That's how I feel about u. I've communicated with u both via telephone, via email, via text, no matter how much I try, seems like u made your mind up to do me harm. That's why I stopped tryingLet the chips fall where they may. I actually enjoyed working at your house, u were always very hospitable (not being sarcastic)*** ***

Complaint: ***
We reject his response
because he did not address our complaints nor did he offer a solution
His only “solution” is for us to purchase a new slab when
he’s the one who ruined the first one
*** installed our
granite. We paid him because we didn’t realize until afterwards that
there were MAJOR ERRORS. As I communicated in my initial complaint
to you, “we have never had granite counters before” and had no idea that
(1) he had tried to get away with breaking the granite into two
pieces over the sink and gluing it back together so we wouldn’t notice; or that
(2) he had cut the granite incorrectly in the first place, so the
pattern doesn't match at the seams like it’s supposed to do We
found out by having a contractor look at the job after we realized there were
major defects in his work that would have to be corrected by him. As I
said before, the contractor’s comment was that it was one of the worst jobs
he’s ever seen.
Initially, the only thing
that we believed *** did wrong was the installation of the sink, as we thought
it was supposed to be under the counter as we had seen in model homes, not even with it; however, we researched
and went back to the manufacturer to find that he did install it according to their instructions; so
we told him that, apologized and that was the end of that issue
The reply to my complaint
that he sent to you (that I am answering now) is a copy of an email that
he sent to us on November 4th as we were trying to settle this peacefully
His comments were not exactly accurate, so I replied to him that day with
the facts/truth of the matter (and will be happy to supply you with it if
you would like)
In order to resolve this, he
will have to remove the granite that he installed incorrectly from the main
kitchen counters (two) with as little damage
to the cabinets as possible, and we will have to find a slab that he will
pay for that is comparable (if that is even possible) to the other
two he used to do the rest of the kitchen/laundry room. Also, he will
need to complete the unfinished portions that he had originally agreed to do
We paid *** over $6,and expect a refund or a first-rate
(whatever that entails)
Our only alternative is to
hire another granite company to the two counters, or start over with all new granite if we can’t find a slab that matches closely
enough. In the meantime, we have a sub-standard, poor quality job that
*** is not willing to correct We would use the refund from *** in
order to do this
Regards,
*** ***
