The check ripped
The person who came to bring the oil tore up the check, spoke an inappropriate word in my house and put the big oil truck in my driveway. I called to make the payment over the phone and the customer service is terrible, She said didn’t understand me, she asked me to speak Spanish as I speak Portuguese and hung up the phone in my face. Terrible, very disappointed.

Review: I ordered 100 gallons of oil from Dollarwi$e Oil ("DW") on March 11. Subsequently, I received a letter from DW claiming that I had an outstanding balance. I checked my order history (I always receive an e-mail confirmation of the amount of oil requested) and my credit card payment history and could not find anything. I wrote a letter on 5/10 to the same effect.

In response to my letter, and a request for additional information explaining the situation, DW mailed me a boilerplate "Transaction Report."

I spoke with a DW representative over the phone on 5/21. After initially claiming that I had "used all the oil" - which is not true - he admitted that it was DW's fault for filling the entire tank. We agreed that since 1) I did not order a full fill up, 2) I did not use all of the oil that was delivered, and 3) I am a month to month tenant who may not even be living in the apartment next winter, that I could postpone paying the balance (DW's error) until October/November when I actually use the oil. I considered the matter closed.

I received additional "Past Due Notices" (some 2-3) after this conversation. I wrote DW a second letter on 6/17 explaining that I had already spoken to their representative and considered the issue resolved. I asked for confirmation. Once again, DW mailed be another boilerplate "Transaction Report" without any explanation.

Most recently I've received a notice threatening to pass on my "delinquent accoun[t]" to a "third party collection agency of legal counsel."

Today I have filed a Revdex.com complaint and a complaint with the state Attorney General's office.Desired Settlement: I had thought the issue settled over a month ago when I spoke to DW's rep. The continued threats and the time I've had to invest to go after a delinquent company, whose unethical practices likely violate the MA Consumer Protection Act, are unacceptable. I demand 1) an apology from DW and 2) a discount/damages for the amount of time and stress I've been put through for a problem that i) has already been resolved and ii) was their fault.

Business

Response:

Requested 100 gall we filled the tank.Issue is he is a renter not sure if he will be living there this winter.Offered the following solution1. Pay me in November2. or call me if you moveHe was also concerned about if price falls and I agreed to charge going market rate next fall.....The above are the options that were given to the customer on 7-15-13, it appears to me that there was an agreement made with our credit department.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint.

I spoke with a Dollarwise representative about the issue (i.e., they erroneously filled up the entire tank when I had only requested 100 gallons) on May 21st. I continued to receive threatening letters through July (please see attachments "6-24 Dollarwise Statement.pdf" and "7-11 Dollarwise Statement.pdf") even after I sent them a second letter (please see attachments "Dollarwise Oil Complaint #2.docx").I'd like an apology (never received) for the incorrect fill up as well as an apology and explanation why it took a phone conversation, two written letters, complaints filed with the Revdex.com and Cambridge consumer protection agency (and over 10 hours of my time) in order for Dollarwise to stop harassing me. I also expect some discount on the outstanding bill to somewhat make up for the unnecessary amount of time I've had to spend on fixing Dollarwise's problem. *I can only assume mine is not an isolated event. A search for "Alliance Express" on yelp yields five reviews, all one or two stars.

Review: I paid $265 for 100 gallons of oil which was delivered by Alliance Express on 12/20/14. I have an electronic receipt for the order. I received a bill on 1/25/2015 from the same company for $373.92 indicating that they are charging me for a total of 241.1 gallons (141.1 more than what I ordered and paid for). I called DollarwiseOil and a rep said that 141.1 gallons of extra oil was delivered in error and I still owe them $373.92.

I have no idea if they delivered the amount of oil they are charging me for. I had previously ordered 100 gallons from a different company which lasted from 11/1/2014 to 12/20/2014 (50 days). The amount I received from DollarwiseOil lasted from 12/20/2014 to 2/1/2015 (40 days) which would lead me to believe that it was 100 gallons.Desired Settlement: I would like DollarwiseOil to cancel the $373.92 balance that they are charging me
