I've tried to work with this business. I offered to use the money I put down as a store credit toward a another purchase, but was told that was too much paperwork. The bottom line is you can't make up a business policy to overwrite consumer law. I don't don't know what kind of laws California has for their merchants, but when you do start doing business across state lines, federal laws or the laws of the customer's state take precedence over the law the state the business resides in. The bottom line is the business can't keep both the money and product. I don't know what they call it in California, but in Oklahoma we call it theft or fraud. The Postal Service refers to it as wire fraud since it occurred over the internet. I either want a full refund or I will fill a complaint with the U.S. Postal Service.
