Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
these are the same company, why do I have to contact a separate division? They should be able to resolve it completely & not pass the buck?
Regards,
*** ***

Dear Revdex.com,
Thank you for your message
It appears that Ms*** has been misinformed, as we (Domains By Proxy) and *** are different companies*** is an affiliate of ours and offers our private registration service to their customersAlso, all sales and billing of our private registration service are handled by ***
That said, all we can recommend is that Ms*** contact ***'s Billing Department at *** for assistance with her refund request, as *** is where Ms*** purchased our private registration service and *** is who has the ability to offer a refund
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance

I want my privacy and life back. Norgaard.com has been hacking me over two months! Got into my phone's and laptops. This is ridiculous and this person or people shouldn't be allowed to scam or highjack people especially if they have a felony

We are in receipt of your complaint from Ms. [redacted]. Please be advised that Domains By Proxy (“DBP”) provides a private registration service that allows customers of our affiliate registrars to register domain names without listing their contact information in the public WHOIS database. Since DBP is...

listed as the registrant of the domain name, it may appear that DBP operates or has an interest in the domain name or website. That is not the case; DBP is neither a domain name registrar, nor a hosting provider and has no control over website content. However, we do have a process in place for individuals to file a claim against domain names utilizing our private registration service and we recommend that Ms. [redacted] file a claim against [redacted] so we can investigate the issue. Ms. [redacted] can file a claim via the online form, accessible by clicking the File A Claim button on the homepage of DomainsByProxy.com. Once we receive Mr. [redacted]'s claim we will investigate the issue and respond to her with options to possibly resolve the issue and/or provide any recommendations that she can pursue to resolve the issue.

Dear Revdex.com,
Thank you for your message. We have reviewed this matter and our records indicate that Ms. [redacted] has gained access to her DBP customer account and canceled private registration for [redacted].com and [redacted].info since this complaint was filed.
We now...

consider this matter resolved. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Dear [redacted],
We received notice of a consumer complaint filed against Domains By Proxy (“DBP”) regarding [redacted]. DBP provides a private registration service that allows its customers to register domain names without listing their contact information in the public WHOIS database....

Since DBP is listed as the registrant of the domain name, it may appear that DBP operates or has an interest in the domain name or website. That is not the case; DBP is neither a domain name registrar, nor a hosting provider and has no control over website content. Therefore, as the complaint is actually against our customer, we request that you withdraw the current complaint and file a new one against [redacted].
As Domains By Proxy does not have the ability to remove content from any website for which we provide our proxy service, you will need to contact the hosting provider. Generally the operators of the DNS name servers and the hosting providers are the same. For your convenience, we have listed the hosting provider below:

[redacted], Inc.

abuse@[redacted].com

In addition to contacting the hosting provider, you may send your complaint directly to the customer at: [redacted]@domainsbyproxy.com. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the customer will reply, but this is yet another option for you to pursue.

Very truly yours,

Lisa V.

Dear [redacted] The reason why [redacted] is unable to retrieve the necessary DBP customer account login directly is because he is not the individual listed on the account. Also, we are not responsible for any miscommunication between the account holder and Mr. [redacted] with regards to relaying of login information. In addition, the account holder has not contacted us with an issue of them not being able to gain access to the account. All we can recommend is Mr. [redacted] work with the account holder directly to receive the necessary login information gain access to the account so privacy can be cancelled. If account holder is unable to gain access to their account while working with Mr. [redacted], we recommend that Mr. [redacted] advises the account holder to contact us directly for assistance with gaining access to the account.

INDEED, your email did NOT come through, regardless of lack of bounce, as you have so graciously indicated. I think you would agree that it is important for BOTH of us to understand why an e mail from such a reputable company did go through as intended. My spam is cleanly out daily, so it was not there. But then, when filing a complaint through your website, you do NOT give any info as to what should be added to Contacts to avoid rejection, which is why I check spam daily. Also, you did not give any suggestions on follow up if a response was not received in the time frame indicated by your website....which is something the vast majority of businesses, who take complaints seriously, do.
Please rest assured, that your cavalier attitude does not relieve you, FanFiction or host of said mentioned website of any responsibility.
I need to know exactly who is the host of this website, if I have or have not contacted the right people, you should state such. Copyright and Trademark violations should not be taken so lightly, as you response indicates you have.

sent you the incorrect website name....the following is the correct website.  I got absolutely NO services from Avangate, ordered a $14 repair kit, yet was charged $36.95.  I spent 22 hours on phone with reimage.com for 3 days and 3 hrs total on hold.  The process was to take approximately 4 hrs, when, actually it took a total of 27 hrs.  I could not use my pc all that time.  They also installed more viruses, therefore, after wasting $136.95 for MORE trouble and have since had to purchase a new laptop.  ReimageRepair is still installed on my ruined pc and cannot be removed.  What kind of service is this for honest Americans

Mr. [redacted],
Our Abuse department is reviewing the domain name and any supporting documentation you submitted. Depending on the results of their investigation, private registration services may be cancelled.

Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant,

We are in receipt of your complaint from Mr. [redacted]

We have reviewed the complaint and it appears that the complaint was filed incorrectly against Domains By Proxy, LLC when it should have been filed against [redacted].COM. Therefore,...

ask that this complaint be removed from our record and filed against the correct party, [redacted].COM.

DBP, which is owned by GoDaddy founder [redacted], can not offer domain privacy services that negate their responsibility for managing unsolicited, unwanted, unwelcome abuse from domains owners who violate DBP's TOU!
The fact that "[redacted]" (domain) is a private registration does not absolve DBP of their responsibility when their customer fails to abide by DBP's TOU!  If "[redacted]" has listed DBP as their administrative and technical contact,
it is then incumbent on DBP to either notify the customer or rescind the domain!
*. [redacted]
