I would like to respond to the complaint made by Mr [redacted] regarding his son's account [redacted] with his mother presented to my office on May 25,for consultation for removal of his two lower impacted wisdom teeth At the consultation Mrs [redacted] was given the insurance codes for the procedure and the cost Mrs [redacted] was advised that my office would check her insurance benefits and also advised her to check them as well [redacted] presented for the procedure on June 2,for removal of the two lower wisdom teeth with general anesthesia [redacted] and his mother choice the general anesthesiaMy office did do a predetermination with their medical insurance which was Anthem and they told my office that the patient responsibility would be $which was collected the day of procedure [redacted] did well and presented for poappointment with no issues on June 7, My office submitted insurance claim to Anthem medical which paid $but they would not pay for general anesthesia There was also a $insurance write off My office advised the parents to appeal the general anesthesia denial This payment from Anthem medical was received on July 8,to my office My office was asked to submit a claim for the services performed to the dental insurance which my office did on July 8, The dental insurance company GEHA paid $and this check was sent to Mr [redacted] and cashed by him on August 3, Mr [redacted] never forward this $that was for services performed on his son to my office My office has attempted to reach Mrand Mrs [redacted] by phone and by mail with not response My office staff has NOT made any threatening phone calls or derogatory statements to them I have not called or sent any letters to them myself as they claim They have decided to send me $every two weeks which I received on September 26,and October 11, I never agreed to this especially since Mr [redacted] cashed the $insurance check and kept it knowing that there is still a balance on his son's account The services were performed June 2,and the account has not been paid in full My office submitted all the insurances claims for this family and they kept the insurance check for $and then did not communicate with my office after numerous attempts to contact Mrand Mrs [redacted] to resolve this matter they decided to make payments which I did not approve This account still has a balance and and it has been five months since services were provided and I would like it paid Thank you Dominick CAdornato III D.D.S
