This response is from the business owner, and appears to be the only way to address a case opened with the BBB in 2014 because revdex doesn't have a corporate listing that we can find. Revdex lifted this case from the BBB website and expanded it into three reviews. In 2014, the complainant made false statements to the BBB, never responded to the BBB, and the BBB found on our (Dominion's) behalf. This was noted on the BBB website for a few years, but all reference to this seems to be removed from their website.

The complainant in this case attempted to extort Dominion (we have his emails). He wanted $3,000 in exchange for not writing negative reviews and not contacting the BBB. When we refused to pay any amount, he posted a negative review on the yelp website, which he then removed after we noted his attempted extortion in our response.

Also want to note that I tried to leave a response without giving a rating, but the system wouldn't let me do that, hence the five stars.

Vehicles, and as such, is responsible for abiding by the rules set forth by DMV governing driver improvement clinics. We do go to great lengths to ensure students receive the proper credit for taking a driver improvement clinic. The information is provided in a clear and easy to understand manner, and it is not difficult information to understand. [redacted] asked us to do something for which our clinic license with DMV could be revoked or suspended. His request to change the reason he took the class is not permitted by DMV rules. Aside from making this abundantly clear in class, I’ve also done so in my responses to [redacted]’s emails. Most importantly, [redacted] clearly admits in his third email that he was referred by the court; based on that he marked the correct “reason” on his Registration Form when he attended this class. He never provided any paperwork from the court saying he was allowed points (as would be required), nor has he indicated that he has instructions to that effect. DMV has affirmed in writing that Dominion acted correctly.
Regarding [redacted] “Desired Outcome/Settlement.” He states that he wants a refund. This is his first request for a refund. He also states that he wants me to submit the change to his driving record as he requested. It should be apparent by now that his second request is impossible.
Dominion would be willing to refund the $60 class fee if [redacted] agrees, in writing, to remove all negative online reviews and ratings, not to sue Dominion as he has stated he will, and to cease and desist in any and all further communication to or about Dominion or myself to any other person or entity, either verbally or in writing, now and at any time in the future. He would need to agree to our attorney drawing up this agreement as well.
Sincerely,Ann KPartner

Don't worry about a response to my last email. [redacted] titled his email "Revdex.com Complaint Response" so I sent him a once sentence reply: "Any response to your Revdex.com complaint must be made through the Revdex.com."
Thanks again.

Review: I took a 8 hour in-person defensive driving class with this company. This issue started when I went to check my personal driving record with the DMV. I noticed that it was +2 when it should have been +5 since I took a defensive driving course last december.I contacted DMV to correct the error and they informed me that the reason my personal driving record was in error was because the certificate they received indicated I took the class after being mandated by a court. In cases where a licensed driver is ordered to take a driving class, DMV does not grant any additional safe driving points to their license. After I responded to DMV and informed them that I was never mandated by a court to take this class, I was advised to contact the company that hosted the course and request a correction. After doing this the company owner fired back and claimed that I was trying to have her company commit fraud. I informed this owner that I was never convicted of a traffic infraction and therefore could not have been ordered to do anything let alone take a driving course. At this time I indicated that I was prepared to write a negative review of her company on the internet if she was not able to provide basic customer service to me and resolve the issue I brought to her attention. As a result of this communication this owner looked up my home phone number through some unknown method and then called it to harass my family. I know this because I have a copy of the registration form I filled out and it does not have my home phone number listed. This type of behavior is completely inappropriate and disturbing. She should never have looked up or called my home phone because I never asked her to do that. Also any communication I had with her regarding my personal driving record is confidential in nature and should not have been disclosed to any member of my family because it is a breach of my confidentiality.Desired Settlement: DMV should take away the license they provided to her to operate because she is a lousy business owner. To date she has not made the change I requested and has also acted very unethically. I can only imagine what she has done to other customers.I want her to refund the class I took and also submit the change to my driving record as I requested.
