Review: I am very sad to be making this complaint at all, because the problem is so minor and so easily fixed. If it had been done promptly I would have given the company top marks across the board. In my family room there was one section of floor where there used to be a cabinet and there was no original baseboard in that corner. When the new floor was laid – which was otherwise beautiful – the small molding trim along the baseboard was installed very badly at the transition where there was no baseboard. It was just nailed straight along the way, without being fitted to account for the difference. As a result, there is a visible gap and in one place you can see directly down to concrete underneath. This looks very amateurish – even I would not have done this myself. I had just noticed the problem and had not yet called the company when I received a voicemail message saying my balance was due and asking if I wanted to put it on the same card I had used for the deposit. I was not able to call back the same business day, but I called back the very next morning – within 24 hours – and told the business office about the problem. I was told that since I had not called back by the end of the previous business day, when they first called me, the balance had already been charged. I reported two problems outstanding, and the business office said they would let the installers know and get back to me. After several emails, one of two problems was fixed, but not the one in the family room with the molding. I emailed several more times and included photos of the crummy-looking gap, but never heard back. So I still have this ugly gap along the baseboard, and a company that might have gotten rave reviews from me is getting a complaint instead. I’m left with the dismaying feeling that once they had all my money they didn’t really care whether I was satisfied with the job.Desired Settlement: I want the entire floor job in my family room to look professionally finished. I want them to come to my house PROMPTLY and at MY convenience and fix this very small problem. If they will not do it, I will hire a handyman and they can pay the bill. I would also like an apology, by the way.

Review: I WAS NEVER INFORMED THAT I HAD TO PAID AN ADD'L FEES FOR THEM CHANGING THE COLOR TO THE CORRECT COLOR OF MY FLOOR. THEY CALLED ME TO GO HOME TO MAKE SURE THAT MY FLOORS WERE THE CORRECT COLOR. THE CREW APPLIED THE DARK COLOR TO THE LIGHT COLOR. NO SANDING WAS DONE.. HE CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD AN ADDITIONAL $136.25. I CALLED TO DISCUSS, HE WAS VERY NASTY. HE SAID HE IS CHARGING ME FOR SANDING. THEY DIDIN'T SAND, THEY ONLY RE APPLIED THE DARKER COLOR STAIN TO THE LIGHTER COLOR STAIN. PLUS HE NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT ANY ADDITIONAL PRICE INCREASED. I HAVE PROOF THAT THEY WERE TRYING TO GET MY FLOORS THE SAME COLOR OF MY CABINETS. THEN HIS CREW MESS UP MY GRASS AND [redacted] SAID OH WELL IT IS JUST GRASS. GRASS IS VERY EXPENSIVE. I DON'T LIKE HOW HE HANDLED THE WHOLE SITUATION WITH ME ABOUT MY FLOORS AND THEN HE CHARGED ME MORE THAN HE INVOICE ME FOR. I PAID HIM HALF $935 AND I TOLD HIM TO CHARGE THE REMAINING BALANCE OF 935, HE CHARGED MY CARD 1071.25. I CALLED HIM BACK AND HE CLAIMS THAT IT WAS FOR THE RE-SANDING AND THEY DIDN'T RESAND. I HAVE PROOF FROM A CREW MEMBER IN WRITING.

Estimator went to house to do estimate - husband and mother in law picked out the stain color

Crew arrived at house did stain as picked by family members. When customer came after the stain was down - she said she didn't like the color, that it wasn't her fault because she didn't pick it and we should have known. We reminded her that her family picked it but that we would fix the stain - we then let her know that there would be an additional charge. She said it wasn't her fault but ours because we should have known the color she wanted. We again said, you all picked the color, but we will redo for the additional cost.

The crew went back out and re-did the stain - it cost us $136.25 for the additional materials. We added an additional $135.00 to the bill, the charge should have been $272.50 for additional labor and materials.

In the meantime they got one of our installers phone numbers and had him come out and put another coat down because it wasn't shiny enough. He went out and put another coat down - that should have been an additional $354.25 for that but we did not charge her for that.

After the conclusion of the job, they called and said you ruined our grass we want a discount. We declined and said we would take care of the 1x1 piece of grass and that the bill needed to be paid. We sent our installers over with a product - approved by the home owners husband - to fix the grass.

Next the customer called and complained about the additional charge - and even after the explanation - she said she would see us in court.

We tried very hard to please this customer but to no avail. We went above and beyond for this customer, and even did additional work at a loss to us.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and I NEVER AGREED ON ANY AMOUNT WITH THIS MAN. He said my family picked the color out. I had no choice but to go with the color that was picked out. His crew members called me asking me what color do I wanted and I told him. No one never discuss any amounts with me. We I asked him why he charged my card $136.25, he said he and to resand the floors, which they didn't do. So he lied. He could have charged my credit any amount he wanted to. He never mention any additional amounts to me. Then his crew members or insurance company never came out to fix my grass. All of these prices and numbers are new to me. He just don't have the right to charge a person card without them authorizing the amount agreed upon. He is so wrong.
