Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
At the time I was towed, I was not aware that there was any threat of being towed I looked for a sign indicating whether or not the spaces were reserved and when I could not find a sign, I reasoned that it must be a safe place to park I only learned that I had parked in a spot where I might be towed after speaking to the police by calling ***, thinking my car had been stolen I looked all over the parking lot for a sign regarding towing and could not find a single one You are mistaken by saying that there was a sign in the entrance You are mistaken by saying I had the slightest clue that I could be towed.Just because the city ordinance does not require signs to be in the general vicinity of where spaces are reserved, does not mean you have upheld your duty as a responsible citizen You cannot build a business on tricking people into parking in spaces where you can tow them away. There is no law saying that you have to help a person who has fallen down in the middle of the road, but it is the right thing to do The right thing to do here is to give people fair warning that their car could get towed any time of day at all You clearly make enough money by towing cars from unsuspecting people to be able to post signs Is the real reason you don't want to post signs because that would actually free up the parking spaces for those residents who purchase parking passes and you wouldn't have anyone to tow? Are you willing to put your own profit ahead of the goal you claim to support? Please post signs and/or refund my money as soon as possible, preferably by the end of January 2017.Regards,*** ***

Good afternoon and thanks for forwarding us this awesome example of whats wrong with America today complaint. Just so we're clear, [redacted] has admitted to parking where he knows he isn't allowed. Regardless of the time frame. In his case his states "9:45 to 10:13 pm" on a weeknight..... he caused...

no harm.... So if he went 100mph on the highway for only 2 miles on an empty highway and didn't hurt anyone, does that mean that it didn't happen? What excuse would he give a judge? In his situation, the property is marked following both the State code and local ordinance. Property has signs at the entrance and exit of the community. Not in all 687 parking spaces. Maybe the person he was visiting told him to park in visitor and he didn't follow the rules....... because he was only going to be there for 45 minutes. That ain't up to us. Patrol and respond to parking violators and parking enforcement is what we do. We don't sell girl scout cookies or salvation.  [redacted] was in [redacted] could have parked in a space that is marked for visitors. [redacted] wants to blame the world and accuse the world of being against him and call towing companies "unethical" while parking in a space that is reserved for someone who pays for that parking space because it was closer for [redacted] so that it didn't have to walk a little further. Don't be like [redacted]. Be the solution to the circumstances of the world. Wag more and bark less. [redacted] waited an hour because he showed up before his scheduled time. [redacted] was towed because rules don't apply to [redacted] could have paid with [redacted]'s credit card but didn't have one in his name that he wanted to pay with. So [redacted] had to pay with the funds available to him.My desired settlement is for [redacted] to take his participation trophies and line them all up. Shine them up. Appreciate each and every one of them. And create a better version of himself. Whats in the past is in the past. Let it go. Follow the rules. Whether its for 45 mins, like he admits to breaking the parking policy or for the next 45 years of his life, I want [redacted] to contribute to making the world a happier place.Thank youDominion South[redacted]

Review: I own a [redacted]. On 2/21/16, I let my daughter use the car. She visited a friend in an apt complex and when she didn't put the parking pass in the windshield, the car was towed by Dominion. While in tow, the car was hit by a drunk driver. My daughter learned of this information and paid the $185.00 for the tow to Dominion Towing. The towing company refunded that fee in good faith, due to the fact my car was in an accident while in their possession.

The driver was in jail for several days. Upon his release, I worked with his insurer, [redacted], to settle on the damages. This occurred in March, 2016. Throughout all the phone calls and conversations, Dominion Towing advised my daughter the car could remain at their facility while going through the insurance claim process. Two weeks ago, I received settlement from the [redacted] and retained ownership of the Ford Explorer. I contacted Dominion to make arrangements for AAA to town my car home and they advised me that I owed them over $1,500 in storage fees. I visited the office on Saturday, 3/26, and no Dominion rep was available. A Shank's rep would not let me take my car. I called the Fredericksburg Police and they advised me to come back on Monday, 3/28 because a Dominion rep would be onsite. On 3/28, there was no Dominion rep onsite. I also called and left messages, and have yet to hear a response. Dominion Towing provided false information to me, my daughter and the insurance company in hopes of receiving a check for storage fees. This type of business practice is unethical. My car is being held without legal authority and I feel like my rights are being violated by not being allowed the ability to remove my car from their tow facility.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is Dominion Towing to coordinate a date with me to allow access to the tow yard so that I can remove my [redacted]. I do not owe them any storage fees. I am offering $150-$185 for the original tow, I will repay that fee, but I do not owe any storage fees. Throughout this matter, I have made over 10 phone calls, with not one return call. I have spoken with Lisa and various other answering service personnel. They won't give out names of employees/owners associated with the company. I was able to learn of first names for Mike and Kyle, who I believe may be the owner.
