On 12/22/an authorized agent for [redacted] in Alexandria VA asked us to tow an abandoned [redacted] that was not authorized to park on their propertyIt had been left on their property for about a week We impounded this vehicle at 10:AM and reported it to the Fairfax County Police DeparmentBy law, we filed a storage lien with DMV on 12/26/14, which is business days after we towed the vehicle (12/25/was a Federal holiday.) On 12/29/a DMV representative processed this paperwork We kept the vehicle for days, which is days more than required by law This vehicle went to auction on 2/6/and was auctioned for $1,The outstanding balance owed on that vehicle would be the responsibility of the registered owner, and is $1, Ms [redacted] called on 2/19/and told Ashley that she let her neighbor borrow the vehicle and that they had just informed her the vehicle had been impoundedAshley answered all of Ms***'s questions, and helped her to the best of her abilityIt is illegal to abandon a vehicle in VirginiaPer code 46.2-1200, it is defined as "...remained more than hours on private property without the consent of the property owner, regardless of whether is was brought onto the private property with the consent of the owner or person in control of the private property" As a vehicle owner, it is Ms***'s responsibility to maintain the whereabouts of her vehicleIf her vehicle was loaned to someone for days, it is her responsibility to know where it is, and if the neighbor got it impounded, Ms [redacted] should pursue legal action toward them Per Fairfax County code 82-5-Section E-(Personal Property) part b, "Personal Property must be released immediately upon the Vehicle Owner's request without charge, and it shall be the duty of the Operator to return it to the Vehicle Owner if the Vehicle Owner claims the items prior to auction." We were not contacted by the vehicle owner until 2/18/15, and by then the vehicle was already auctioned offDominion Towing does not go through any vehicles prior to auctionDominion Towing does dispose of the vehicle license plates prior to auction, as those do not belong to the vehicle We are denying the claim to replace the vehicle and belongings, as there was no wrong doing on our partIf the complainant would like to discuss further via phone, I can be reached at ###-###-####Please close this case as invalid and in favor for Dominion Towing.Sincerely,Dwight G [redacted] --

This complaint is regarding damage and who is liable There is no way for the Revdex.com to determine whether or not Dominion Towing is at fault so I am requesting this case to be closed However, I will add that our manager Ken did investigate and found no wrong doing on our part and he has been in contact with the complainantI would be glad to discuss further and can be reached at ###-###-####Dwight G [redacted]

The adult male employee who came to tow my year old son's car became verbally abusive when my son stopped him by finding the keys before it could be towedI tried to intervene, but the Dominion Towing driver ignored me and kept shouting threats at my sonThe Dominion Towing driver angrily tore out of the parking lot at a high speed, only to return to my home minutes later looking for my son He saw him trying to find another spot and he stalked him, driving close on his tail in his monster truck, tailing him from the Kindercare to the Burke Walmart Finally, my son was able to lose himI wrote to MrA***, MrF [redacted] and MrG [redacted] and received no reply

Good Afternoon,A requirement of the parking rules and regulations when using the visitor permit, is that you can only use it for 72hrsComplainants car was towed for exceeding the time limit at [redacted] Association.Since the resident was unaware, as a courtesy gesture, we released the vehicle free of charge.I dont believe this requires further discussion but feel free to contact with any further concerns. Thanks,Dwight G [redacted] **###-###-####

Dominion Towing is contracted to tow on private property where the complainant resides Complainants vehicle was parked in violation of the community bylaws because of expired license plates from May 2014- see attached for photos to proveDominion towing only enforces the rules, it is the homeowners who decide on the policyPlease explain your complaint of our employee being rude or condescendingI would be glad to see what actions are needed but please understand that it is hard for us to answer "what if" questions. Please feel free to reach me at [redacted] Dwight G [redacted]

Good Afternoon,Complainants vehicle was towed because it was in violation of the policy for [redacted] s which is an apartment complex The rule states that you are not allowed to use the visitor spaces for more than 48hours / nights in a row or more than times in a day period. We monitor the visitor spaces, record each vehicle make and tag, and tow once they have exceeded the time limitWe do not make or write the parking policy, we simply enforce the rules by towing the vehicles in violationI would be glad to discuss further with the complainant and resolve any miss-understandingsI can be reached at ###-###-####Dwight G [redacted]

[redacted] was towed because he parked on private property with expired tagsHis tags expired 2/28/15, and he was towed on 3/8/We have nothing to go by except what is displayed on the vehicle [redacted] may have paperwork showing his vehicle was registered, but without it being displayed we have no way to know that nor has that paperwork been provided to usOn his first phone call he stated that he had the paperwork with himOn his next phone call, which was after his vehicle was picked up, he stated that the paperwork was on the dash of the carWe have photos of the vehicle taken prior to tow showing that there was no such paperwork displayed on his vehicleWe do honor online registration renewal paperwork up to days from the date they renewedAlso, while the DMV says it may take up to days to receive your stickers in the mail, it generally takes 3-days maximumThe price [redacted] paid, $185, is the fee that is set by Fairfax County for private property towingHis vehicle had the base fee of $135, the after hours (7p-8a) fee of $25, and the weekend fee (Sunday) of $ [redacted] ***’ vehicle was towed with a wheel-lift tow truck, and our tow operators are highly trained and skilled in what they do His [redacted] is a front wheel drive vehicle, and therefore the driver would hook to the front wheelsIf his emergency brake was set, the driver would release the emergency brake before towing the vehicleNo damage would be done with the alignment, rim or suspension using this type of truckHowever, if [redacted] feels as though there was damage done to his vehicle he is welcome to contact our management team and discuss how his vehicle was towedPlease see attached for photos proving that the license plates are expired and there is no receipt or documentation on the dash as claimed by [redacted] ***.I can be reached at ###-###-####Sincerely,Dwight G [redacted]

Good Morning,The vehicle was towed because it did NOT display a permitI've attached photos to prove there was no permit on the dashboard or visible from outside of the vehicleThe community where parked requires a permit to be displayed at all times. The tow fee should have been $but we reduced the fee by $as a courtesy because the complainant did have a permit inside the vehicleThere was not a mistake on the towing company or driver who towed the vehicleThe mistake was made by the complainant who did not properly place the permit on the dashI would be glad to discuss further with the complainant, I can be reached at ###-###-####.Thanks,Dwight G [redacted]

Good Afternoon~Thank you for bringing this to my attention, we take all complaints very serious. This particular vehicle was parked without the proper permit and in violation of the HOA There is signs posted at all entrances stating you need a permitOur tow driver observed the vehicle and took pictures of the violation showing "no permit", see attachedAs you will see no one is in or around the vehicle so our driver proceeded to tow the vehicle.Vehicle owner did come out of the house once our truck was hooked to vehicle but at that point, there is a $drop fee, and yes it is legal per [redacted] CountyThe vehicle owner must be ready, willing and able to pay, otherwise the tow company has the right to leave the property and impound the vehicle.Dominion Towing was fully in compliance with the local ordinances and parking policy for the community.I would be glad to discuss further with the complainant and can be reached at [redacted] @dominiontowing.com or ###-###-####Sincerely,Dwight G [redacted]

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The pictures of the signs in the attachment do clearly state that there is hour parking and towing is enforced and there are instructions on the meter which I do not dispute What I dispute is that there is not adequate signage or communication that the garage is metered parking There is nothing to indicate to the drivers that action must be taken at the meter Image [redacted] is posted off to the side on a door to enter into the apartment complex, not visible to retail shoppers, only complex residents entering that door In fact I had to search the entire level of the garage to find the sign I did not reset the meter because I did not have any instructions directing me to a meter Nor was I parked for more than hours, which the cameras in the garage can prove The entrance to the garage advertises FREE hour parking for retail customers It does not advertise Free hour metered parking.Regards, [redacted] ***
