When a customer trades in a vehicle and purchase a new car it is the customers responsibility to produce a trade title. She had moved to another state and her License Bureau that she was working with in the state that she was trying to obtain a duplicate title from lost her paper work and then did...

not tell her she had a fee so she had to overnight everything twice. Then they also told her she needed a letter signed by her son as to her proof of residents she did that as well. Then they told her it had to be signed by her as well causing her to have to overnight again. These requirements were not made by don brown Chevrolet but rather the license bureau she is working with.I even called them myself to try and help her, then  the state she is working with wont issue a title if you owe personal property tax, so they made more requirements on her in regards to past taxes.I believe she had to get some kind of letter again for them. She did call Friday night and say she finally got the title from them.I did offer to reimburse just as a courtesy because she bought vehicle here some of her overnight fees.We have tried to explain that it is not us making the requirements it is her department of revenue.Yes we are requiring her to produce her trade title and feel badly that the license bureau has put her through so much but again it is not us ....Not Don Brown Chevrolet we have done nothing wrong.Additionally, we though it was ridiculous what they were making her do that's why we offered to call with her to try and help her sort through the red tape. Respectfully,[redacted]

yes he did send 2 letters which I have called him multiple times and left messages the letter is not clear as to what his concern is I would like to have a conversation with him before I make a decision if this is something we are at fault for I would happy to do as he has requested.however I need...

to be able to understand the problem first then make a decisionso if you can get him to call me at the dealership that would be great [redacted]ask for [redacted]

I was un aware of this issue and complaint in the service department I feel the customer has a valid point and will be refunding him for the price of the part.He is aware that he was intentionally mislead this was a communication problem on our end.  Respectfully,[redacted]

In regards to this complaint we have a record of a [redacted] not [redacted] so Im not sure what the confusion is there. He did not purchase vehicle he told us he purchased vehicle at [redacted].He did call to complain we invited him to correct the problem he told us he did not want us to...

touch his car he wanted us to write a letter stating we over filled and that our employee smoked in his car.We said sir if we over filled please bring vehicle in and we will correct the problem and we would give him a copy of the repair order with the correction we made if needed to be done.So he finally chose to come in he was belligerent in the surface drive yelling and [redacted] the service manager was checking his oil and sir let me get it in the shop and we will correct if we over filled. When his oil in the service drive it showed right at the full line, he stated that too the customer and the customer then told him too [redacted].At that point I asked him to leave he refused to do so and kept making a scene causing a stressful environment for all of our other customers we had to call the police to get him to leave the property .His anger unnecessary because we were happy to make things right if anything was wrong. We also took care of that oil change so he will still have 2 free maintenance oil changes still to use at any Chevrolet Dealership. Respectfully,[redacted]

I have never spoke with Mr. [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com:I have attached the credit report with bot signature authorizing to run credit to obtain them a loan to finance a vehicle that they choice to purchase.I have also attached a copy of the agreement to purchase 2015 Kia As far as sales tax is concerned that is the responsibility of the...

purchaser to pay their own sales tax.Additionally, when the consumer has an existing loan a pay off is requested and sometime the pay off quotes are short the consumer is responsible for their loan it is there debt and we are only as goon as the information and amount that is given over the phone . The consumer is also told that if there is an overage with the pay off that amount will be refunded to them as it is there money.

On March 16th this vehicle was seen in our service department for an oil change and a tire rotation upon entering our service drive as a courtesy to our customer we have porters check the windshield wiper fluid if it is low we fill it at no cost to customer.Ms. [redacted] vehicle needed to have some...

added, the porter did spill a little , he right then wiped it off. ( Please note it was not antifreeze it was windshield wiper fluid.) On March 23rd the Ms. [redacted] phoned in a complaint to Chevrolet stating, when she received her vehicle the seat was pushed all the way back and when she adjusted it, she heard clicking noises. She stated it never made the clicking noises before. Additionally she stated to Chevrolet that [redacted] had already offered her to bring vehicle in so we could look at seat for her. Our response to Chevrolet was , our porter did pull vehicle around, we offered to look at it that day for her, she stated she did not have time to wait. We offered an appointment for the following week she said she had jury duty , so we made her an appointment for March 30th at 10:15 to look at seat.At no point in her complaint to Chevrolet did she mention anything about feeling she threatened. The Employee she is speaking of is a long term employee of 18 years and not once have we ever had a complaint of this nature.Don Brown Chevrolet, intends on checking out Ms. [redacted] seat and additionally doing the repair for her at no charge to her, we are doing that because she is a long term customer. If any further information is needed feel free to contact me.[redacted]Customer Service Manager[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
March 24, 2017   Revdex.com Attn: Dispute Resolution Department   RE: Complaint NO. [redacted]   I am well aware that this response will not be enough to continue my personal dispute with...

Don Brown Auto, but I ask of you to keep the account open for further investigation purposes. I cannot comment on the business that was conducted between Don Brown Auto and [redacted] Bank, however I can dispute some of the business practices and customer care.  My husband and I originally started working with Don Brown at the end of January 2017. We were approved to purchase a vehicle; however, specific guidelines had to be met, such as mileage, year and cost.  We were hesitant to have a car loan because of a recent change in our financial situation. The vehicle that Don Brown Auto had that met the requirements of the lender was a 2013 Chevy Spark. (Cute car, but no.) While my husband and I were at Don Brown, we asked our salesperson ([redacted]) if Don Brown had any other vehicle(s) for us to view and [redacted] stated not at this time. I contacted Don Brown on Monday, February 6, 2017, and spoke with [redacted] and said we would accept the loan but not the vehicle. [redacted] said at this time we don’t have anything that meets the requirements but as soon as Don Brown has a vehicle that meets the requirements we would be contacted. Less than 1 hour later I received a call from [redacted] at Don Brown Auto; he said he had a vehicle. I thought it was a little odd but ok. The vehicle was a 2012 Chevy Malibu. My husband and I liked the vehicle and decided to purchase. Part of the agreement with the lender was a $1000.00 down payment which Don Brown agreed to accept in installments. The first installment was made on February 17, 2017, with the second installment to be made on March 7, 2017. On February 23, 2017, my husband contacted [redacted] at Don Brown to let him know that we would be paying the second installment of the down payment money that day and pick up the title for the vehicle. Upon arrival it was discovered that the title was not available; we should have it in a few business days. On March 8, 2017, I received a call from [redacted] at Don Brown Auto to let me know that the title was ready for pickup. On March 10, 2017, my husband took the remaining $ 500.00 installment and got the title. On March 11, 2017, I went to the licensing office in Florissant and discovered the title I had was wrong because there was another title. That same day my husband contacted Don Brown Auto with very little success; he was told by [redacted] at Don Brown Auto there was nothing he could do and don’t be a hard [redacted]. On Monday, March 13, 2017, my husband and I contacted our attorney; we wanted to know if the purchase of the vehicle was legal and we were informed from by our attorney that every vehicle on a car lot is required to have a title before it is sold, and while our business with the lender for the vehicle is legal, the activity of Don Brown was questionable and we should contact the Revdex.com.   According to the letter of explanation and the supporting documents, Don Brown Auto accepts no responsibility, but that is wrong. First of all, a vehicle was sold without making sure all of the I’s and T’s were properly dotted and crossed.  According to the paperwork, Don Brown Auto sent [redacted] Bank a check on January 31, 2017; we signed the lender paperwork on February 6, 2017. I ([redacted]) had to return the car to Don Brown Auto on February 8, 2017, for a car inspection and to fix recall issues. At the time we purchased this vehicle it was not ready to be sold. My husband and I paid Don Brown Auto $1000.00 (not an easy task when your financial situation has changed) in good faith with the expectation that we were dealing with an honest car dealership; to our disappointment, we weren’t. To be insulted worse, [redacted] offered us a $50.00 gift card to a restaurant of our choice.   As I said at the beginning, this is not enough to keep my dispute open but there has got to be some red flags somewhere. Our attorney also said that perhaps Don Brown Auto was being a little dishonest in not wanting to count this vehicle with their inventory for the bank. This office provides a voice for the consumer. Please hear our voice. Don Brown Auto recently made contact on March 22 or 23, 2017 not several times as stated.   Sincerely, [redacted] and [redacted]

In regards to the statement she is referring to repair order dated 03/15/2016 in which we found her Battery cables to be corroded and battery leaking acid near positive cable. There was no charge to customer and yes I did wave her diagnostic fee because of her history with us a battery inspection on...

cables is a visual inspection not complicated . I waved it again because it was a visual inspection, we did not accept another companies diagnosis we never do and never will. I would like to explain why, in order to get anything covered under a Gm warranty or an extended warranty we have to have one of our certified GM mechanics diagnose the vehicle in order to have the repair approved.[redacted] called with a check engine light, on when she was told upfront that there was a diagnostic fee she said no you always accept another company diagnosis she had again gone to Valvoline or somewhere like that it may have been [redacted] we explained to her we cant accept another companies diagnosis . additionally explained the only reason we waived it before was a good will gesture because we valued her as a customer and that a battery corrision problem was a visual inspection. The check engine is not a visual inspection and will require a diagnosis from one of our GM certified mechanics in order to get anything covered for her, if in fact it is covered we don't know what is wrong with vehicle so please bring in so we can found out why check engine light is on.A check engine light can be on for so many different reasons.Ms. [redacted] would not accept this answer , everyone explained to her very politely how the process works.Yes we do record the calls and she was irate because we would not look at vehicle for free we actually discounted her to $100 instead of our normal $140.00 diagnostic fee.No one at this dealership was rude to her we just don't treat people that way period. Our general manager spoke to her was very polite as well answered all her questions and she hung up on him.Respectfully, [redacted]Please feel free to call with any questions you may have[redacted]

Dear Revdex.comMiss [redacted], did purchase a vehicle from Don Brown Chevrolet our Finance manager did go...

back to the Lender and ask for the taxes to be approved and included in her loan, the Bank declined to include her taxes in her loan. It is not Don brown Chevrolets decision as to what is included in her loan we did offer her coverages as we offer to everyone it is the customers choice to decide what to purchase or what not to purchase.I had a conversation with Miss [redacted] and told her I would look it the matter and that Mr. [redacted] was off for the day and I would call her the following day, meanwhile she filed a complaint with your entity. I did have an opportunity to speak with our Finance Manager [redacted] and here is the information I received .As a goodwill gesture ,because she bought the vehicle from us and she was upset the bank would not include the taxes, Don Brown Chevrolet offered to give her $600.00 towards her sales tax. It was offered because we value our customers and did not want her upset and are sympathetic to our customers concerns. Miss [redacted] declined that offer , in the state of Missouri you are required to pay sales tax on all purchases that is the responsibility of the purchaser not the Dealership. Our offer still stands of $600.00 if she chooses to accept we did nothing wrong it was an offer to her , simply because we value Miss [redacted] as a customer and we appreciated her purchasing her vehicle at our Dealership.

Please see attached records and response to complaint

I have spoken with the business and they have resolved my complaint.

Please see attached file with correspondence to customer regarding their permission to run credit

In regards to complaint of [redacted] customers vehicle was seen in our service department on 11/18/2015 customer stated security light is coming on and vehicle will not start.
The work performed was as follows removed old broken ignition lock cylinder and installed new ignition lock...

cylinder.
Customer did phone in and spoke with Mr.[redacted] our service manager, he offered for customer to bring vehicle back to our service department if what was found wrong, with the vehicle had anything to do with the previous repair we would take of it at no cost to the customer . If it did not have anything to do with previous repair there would be a $100.00 diagnostic fee and it would be customers decision as to wether or not to have vehicle repaired.
Customer did not bring vehicle back for us to look at free of charge.

Respectfully,
[redacted]
