onse to the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] did call DonGreen Sanitation to clean his septic tank. Our part-time receptionist happens to be a formal colleagueof Mr. [redacted] and the two chatted a bit. Mr. [redacted] told the secretary that he was having someproblems with his toilet, but...

never told her the septic tank was backed up or that he had beencontinuing to use to toilet which was “full to the very brim with raw sewage”. He did however tell herthat he was having health problems and was taking Morphine.Mr. [redacted] set up an appointment to have his septic tank cleaned. When I went to his house at[redacted] on July 19, 2016 the exterior of his home was in disrepair. The yard wascompletely overgrown with weeds, logs, sticks, briars and bushes. I went onto the porch to knock onthe door and was dismayed to see the porch was filled with garbage bags that reeked and that therewere maggots crawling all over the place. When Mr. [redacted] opened the front door the stench comingfrom the house was overwhelming. Just standing at the door looking in I could see only a pathwaythrough the house. The room was floor to ceiling with stuff everywhere-the condition was absolutelydisgusting. Mr. [redacted] came out to show me where the septic tank was. While walking through theyard, Mr. [redacted] did tell me that he couldn’t get around very well and that he had quit driving becausehe was taking Morphine.I started to uncover the lid and found the tank was overfull and was actually coming up out ofthe tank. When I emptied this septic tank I found a pump in it. This indicated that there was a secondtank. I continued to dig and found the edge of another lid, however there was a tree, approximately 6-10 inches in diameter growing over most of the lid.Residential and commercial and septic cleaning * High-pressure jetting * Small line inspection andtelevising * Vactor combination sanitary and storm sewer line cleaning * Hydro-excavating * Mainlinecamera televising * By-pass pumping * Catch basin cleaningI went back to the house and told Mr. [redacted] I was able to clean one tank but there was asecond tank that was under a tree and he would need to hire someone with a backhoe to remove thetree and expose the lid. Since the one tank was empty I did tell Mr. [redacted] to flush the toilet, this is theonly way to know if the problem was fixed. Mr. [redacted] did tell me that the toilet had been plugged. Heasked me to come into his house and pump it out. My equipment is made for cleaning septic tanks andis not made to bring into a home to clean toilets. Mr. [redacted] did flush the toilet and it did overflow.Mr. [redacted] states in his letter that “...the toilet was filled to full capacity with raw sewage, which he (Mr. Green) could also see for himself.” This is a false statement, because of the appallingcondition of the house; I did not even enter the house. Also, I assumed, as with most full toilets, it wasprimarily full of liquid. At no time did Mr. [redacted] tell me that even though the toilet would not work hecontinued to use it until it was so full, that he couldn’t use it anymore. After it overflowed, Mr. [redacted] asked me how he should clean it up and asked if I would helphim. As I said, the conditions of that house are sickening and there was no way I was going to enter thathouse. I told him to use a bucket and mop with some cleanser. When I returned to the office I told ourreceptionist that he was living in deplorable conditions and asked if she could reach out to some of theirformer colleagues to see if he had any family nearby that could help him. Someone remembered asister, but didn’t know any details.Mr. [redacted] hired Don Green Sanitation to pump his septic tank-not to come into his home andremove sewage from a full toilet. I did clean the one 500 gallon tank, but did not leave an invoice as Ithought he would be calling back after he hired someone to remove the tree and uncover the secondseptic tank. Approximately a week later I called Mr. [redacted] back to see if the tree removed. At thistime, he said he had already had it removed and the second tank pumped out. It was at this time that Isent Mr. [redacted] an invoice for $225.00 for pumping the first tank. Mr. [redacted] states that he receivedan apologetic phone call stating that he did not have to pay the bill-this is an untrue statement. WhenMr. [redacted] did not pay, our bookkeeper called him, he told her that he had been in the hospital andasked her to send him another bill, she sent the statement on September 23, 2016.If Mr. [redacted] does not pay the invoice, I will have no other option but to file a complaint withthe district magistrate.Should you have any questions or need additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact me.RegardsDon G[redacted]PresidentDon Green Sanitation, Inc.

sonslived with his mother who was 77 years old and that she couldn’t afford to put in a new well. [redacted] toldMr. [redacted] we had a truck that could pump sand and asked how close the truck could get to the well.He told Mr. [redacted] that the truck was 40 foot long and heavy and because of the rain we’d been havingthat the truck would most likely leave ruts in the yard. Mr. [redacted] said he didn’t care about the ruts; hecould fix those and restated that he needed water. [redacted] told Mr. [redacted] that the charge would be$225 assuming the job didn’t take longer than one hour.[redacted] sent two operators to Mrs. [redacted]’s home. The operators removed approximately one yard ofsand from the well. As the sand level was dropping, the operators noticed that bricks were missing fromthe sides of the well and found them lying near the bottom buried in sand. This explained how so muchsand got into the well in the first place. When the operators found the bricks near the bottom, theystopped removing sand and told Mr. [redacted] about the bricks. At no time did Mr. [redacted] tell theoperators to stop. In fact, Mr. [redacted] wanted them to continue and asked that they specifically movethe hose from the center of the well to an area near the side of the well-the operators refused as itappeared the well was not in good condition. Since the well head was no longer buried in sand, waterdid begin to flow into the well. The only time the operators talked with Mrs. [redacted] was when she came to the door to pay them. Shetold the operators that they had been out of water and she was afraid the pipes between the well andthe house would be plugged with sand. Before the operators left, they looked at the well with Mr.[redacted] and water was pouring into the well.Residential and commercial and septic cleaning * High-pressure jetting * Small line inspection andtelevising * Vactor combination sanitary and storm sewer line cleaning * Hydro-excavating * Mainlinecamera televising * By-pass pumping * Catch basin cleaning

Review: We contacted Don Green sanitation to remove the sediment in the bottom of our well. They sent a large truck and 2 operators. The hose operator was a small man and appeared to be to small to handle the hose as he was unable to handle the tube that was placed into the well and it "banged" the sides of our well repeatedly causing bricks to fall. at this time my son told the man to stop before he damaged the well further. that evening our well collapsed. repeated calls to Don Green Sanitation were not returned until the woman that answered the phone gave my son Mr [redacted]'s cell phone. He did leave a message to return his call and my son did and left our home number as an alternate call option. We have yet to hear from Mr [redacted] and now have been out of water totally.Desired Settlement: I feel Mr [redacted] needs to refund the payment for services and pay for the replacement of my well.
