I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.THIS RESPONSE IS NOT TRUE. THE COMPUTER SHE PULLED OUT WAS NOT MY COMPUTER AND SHE KNOWS IT. I REPEATEDLY TOLD HER THAT IT WAS NOT MY COMPUTER, ALL SHE KEPT SAYING WAS, "YES, IT IS", AND I WOULD SAY, "NO, THAT IS NOT MY COMPUTER", SHE INSISTED THAT IT WAS IN FACT MY COMPUTER. KNOWING THAT COLLEGE WOULD BE STARTING SOON FOR ME, I KNEW THAT I HAD TO HAVE ONE. SO I DECIDED THAT SINCE SHE INSIST THAT THE COMPUTER WAS IN FACT "MY COMPUTER" THEN I WOULD GO AHEAD AND GET IT. I ASKED WHAT I OWED HER SHE STATED THAT I OWED ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS AND THAT SHE HAD TO REPLACE THE HARD DRIVE. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY HARD DRIVE AND HER PRICE GREW ALMOST DOUBLE HER ORIGINAL STATEMENT OF THE AMOUNT FOR THE REPAIRS. I TOLD HER THAT IT WAS NOT MY COMPUTER AND AGAIN SHE INSISTED THAT IT IN FACT WAS, AND I TOLD HER I WOULD PAY HER THE ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS AND TAKE IT HOME AND FIND OUT. AS SOON AS I GOT THE COMPUTER HOME AND PLUGGED IT IN, THE REAR USB PORTS WOULD NOT WORK. THE FRONT USB PORTS WORKED SO I USED THE FRONT PORTS FOR THE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD. FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS MICROSOFT OFFICE WAS NOT ON THIS COMPUTER AND THE COMPUTER I OWNED CAME WITH THIS PROGRAM FROM THE FACTORY. SO IF SHE UPGRADED MY SYSTEM FROM WINDOWS VISTA TO WINDOWS WITH THE DISC FROM THE FACTORY THAT I BROUGHT IN WITH ME THE FIRST DAY, IT WOULD IN FACT INCLUDE SUCH PROGRAMS. WHEN I CALLED HER TO TELL HER THIS SHE STILL INSISTED THAT IT WAS MY COMPUTER AND THAT MICROSOFT OFFICE WAS NOT ON MY COMOUTER. I HAD HAD THIS COMPUTER FOR SEVERAL YEARS BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW AND I KNOW WHAT MY COMPUTER HAD ON IT, BEINGS AS I PAID EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR IT AND USED IT EVERYDAY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. FOR STARTERS, HER SYSTEM OF KEEPING TRACK OF WHAT IS WHAT AND WHO IT BELONGS TO CONSIST OF A STICKY NOTE AND THAT IS IT. WHEN SHE CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT SHE HAD TO REPLACE THE POWER SUPPLY AND THAT IT WOULD BE AROUND TO DOLLARS, I TOLD HER THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE THE MONEY ANY TIME SOON, AND SHE SAID THAT WOULD BE FINE IT WOULD BE THERE WHEN I WAS READY TO PICK IT UP. A FRIEND OF MINE GAVE ME THEIR MICROSOFT PROGRAM DISC SO THAT I COULD UPLOAD THE PROGRAM TO THE COMPUTER. BUT APPROXA WEEK LATER THE USB PORTS STOPPED WORKING. I DID NOT WANT TO KEEP THE COMPUTER, I ONLY WANTED MY MONEY BACK. I ASKED HER IF SHE COULD SELL SUCH A COMPUTER IN HER STORE AT ANY GIVEN TIME FOR DOLLARS AND SHE SAID YES. SO WHAT WOULD THE PROBLEM BE. I AM NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF SELLING COMPUTERS, SHE IS. AND AGAIN IF SHE GAVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND I LEFT THE COMPUTER (THAT WAS NOT MY COMPUTER TO BEGIN WITH) SHE WOULD MAKE HER MONEY BACK BY SELLING IT AND I WOULD JUST BE OUT A COMPUTER AND SHE WOULD HAVE GAIN WHATEVER IT WAS THAT SHE SOLD MINE FOR. IF ANYONE WOULD BE LOSING OUT I WOULD BE, SINCE MY COMPUTER IS GONE. THIS COMPUTER IS NOT THE COMPUTER I LEFT WITH HER AND SHE KNOWS IT

supplySo I also had to replace the power supplyI called about a week later to let her know the computer was ready for pick upI have a sign posted in my store that has been there for years stating that anything left more than days will be disposed of or sold. When *** called in Octand asked if I still had her computer, I said it had been a very long time since I had called her for pickupShe said she new that and just wanted to know if I still had itI told her that I might have it in the back of the storeShe called me repeatedly to see if I had itI was pretty sure it was back thereI found the one that had her tag on it I told her I had itShe came in several days laterI showed the computer to her and she said it was not hers but she would take it for $So she didShe called about a month and a half later yelling at me that her computer came with WORD in itShe needed Word to do her school workI told her that Word Did Not come in windows it was a different piece of software .I would need her office product key to install itShe got very mad and hung up on meAbout a month or so later she comes in my store wanting her money back because the computer didn't workI asked what was the problem was and she said she did not want the computer she wanted her money back she needed to buy Christmas stuffI said what wrong with the computerShe said the USB's don't work I said I will check it outShe said no I want my money backI picked up the computer took it to the back to check it out and everything she said that didn't work all worked fineI was bogged do with viruses.
