[redacted] ***,As a telephone contractor for AT&T for over years, our complaints and claims are proven to be handled in an excellent professional manner.Following behind AT&T to complete the phone service order this gives us the right to enter your yard and bury the line.We deal with accusations but my contractors have standards they must live up to If a line is cut or damage is done, we negotiate try to resole the problem Our contractor was asked and said he did not turn the water on In an open yard, someone else could have turned it on Proof of damage could not be determined just because we were in the yard The customer was asked, what it would take to resolve this matter She said, take some money off her U-Verse bill No adjustments are ever made on billing with AT&T That is a separate company We are simply under contract to place drops. Not knowing how much her water bill will run, since it was a new house, and she did not have a previous water bill to compare, there is no way to know the amount of usage Her monthly charge for water, may not be over her minimum. As sorry as we are for her inconvenience, we have to rely on what our workers say unless it can be proven differently Also, this customer was very ugly to my claims person and cursed her and our company Not very professional or courteous So I don't feel she has been violated by our company We were simply doing our job and her a service[redacted] Hatch, Don Hatch Construction Inc

accusations but my contractors have standards they must live up to.  If a line is cut or damage is done, we negotiate try to resole the problem.  Our contractor was asked and said he did not turn the water on.  In an open yard, someone else could have turned it on.  Proof of damage could not be determined just because we were in the yard.  The customer was asked, what it would take to resolve this matter.  She said, take some money off her U-Verse bill.  No adjustments are ever made on billing with AT&T.  That is a separate company.  We are simply under contract to place drops. Not knowing how much her water bill will run, since it was a new house, and she did not have a previous water bill to compare, there is no way to know the amount of usage.  Her monthly charge for water, may not be over her minimum. As sorry as we are for her inconvenience, we have to rely on what our workers say unless it can be proven differently.  Also, this customer was very ugly to my claims person and cursed her and our company.  Not very professional or courteous.  So I don't feel she has been violated by our company.  We were simply doing our job and her a service.[redacted] Hatch, Don Hatch Construction Inc

Complaint: 12050542
I am rejecting this response because: I have inspection reports from before concrete was poured.  I have builder assessment and independent contractor investigation feedback.   The driveway was not impacted by weather. There is NO EROSION ANYWHERE OTHER THAN THE BORE HOLES BY hatch construction  i did not receive any business card that is a false statement. I received any information on contractor from my escalation actions with AT&T
Sincerely,

Don Hatch Construction Inc. is the contractor for AT&T on placing phone lines in the Magnolia area.[redacted], supervisor, investigated and took pictures of cracks in the drive.  He did talk with the lady and left a card.  He was there to see if any way we could be liable for any damage. We bored the drive after the concrete was poured and the main utilities were buried deep.  In the easement, we make shallow bores not washing away material or disturbing ground under a drive.  A crack from a bore would be right where we go under and straight across.  When we returned to do the 2nd bore, we went back in the same spot to go under the drive.  These were not water bores but a small boring head that goes under concrete drives daily.  The cracks are definitely where the main utilities were placed under the drive causing the ground to settle making the zigzag cracks.  After the utilities were placed under this drive, it was a muddy mess due to heavy rain.  The ground is hard to pack back down in mud, causing it to settle & shift later.  Electric, water & gas were placed under this drive.Situations of nature can cause roads and yards to wash and shift.  Houston has seen 2 ft of water standing in streets.  The extreme rain and erosion has been in all areas of Texas since we were there over 1 yr & 8 months.  We were there 7/28/15.  You can't blame someone for damage who has been on your property, trying to provide a service when others have placed major lines under the drive where the cracks are.  Environment and nature reflects changes.  These cracks were not caused from a bore under the drive.  We do not feel responsible for damages.Enclosed is the letter sent out to our customer trying to relate this has not been caused by the bore.Respectfully,[redacted]Don Hatch Construction, Inc.
