Review: Below is a synopsis of my experience. While I have tried to cover the main points there may be some parts of the exchange which I might have forgotten, On April [redacted] (or possibly April [redacted] I am not 100% certain but most probably was April [redacted]) I brought my vehicle to Don Joe Auto Body repair. The damage to my vehicle was covered under my insurance and given that Don Joe work is guaranteed by GEICO and they have a drive in claim center next an Enterprise rental as well. Given the convenience of this I chose to have my vehicle repaired at Don Joe. My vehicle repair was supposed to be done by Friday April [redacted]; however I am aware that auto body repair does not always meet these deadlines. Given that they had addition work, removing body trim and moldings etc, my vehicle was ready on April [redacted]. When I picked up my vehicle I found the repair to be adequate to satisfactory, however I noticed that the roof GPS antennae was mangled. I immediately brought this to the body shops attention. [redacted] from the body shop came out to look at my vehicle and said how could we have done that? It is all rotted and old. We worked on the hood and fenders and I am not paying for a new antennae. I said, it was not like that when I brought the vehicle; [redacted] looked at me straight in the face and said, I dont believe you and if you have a problem complain to GEICO. I said I will do that. I was furious about being called a lair by an Auto body shop no less. I immediately went to my mechanic who is located on the same street. He said the antenna is fine and that there is silicone around it and it is exposed because the rubber cap has come off. My mechanic had replaced the cap about a year ago. He suggested that the cap more than likely came off when the auto body shop washed my vehicle. My mechanic ordered a new cap. I got the receipt from my mechanic to show the body shop. I returned to the body shop and told them that it is cap which has come off exposing the antennae underneath. They body shop conceited that it is possible that the antennae cap came off during the car wash. However did not offer to pay or even apologize. He said he was annoyed that I accused him of mangling my antennae and that is why he acted the way he did.The cost of the cap is only $13.00; however the cost is not the issue. It is the manner in which I was treated. Completely unprofessionally and being accused of lying to him. I will never go to Don Joes for anything and I will tell everyone I know of my experience. I am completely and totally dissatisfied with my experience with Don Joe Auto Body.Desired Settlement: There is not much that can be done other than Joe Body Shop should pay for the antennae cap. I would like my complaint o be posted on the Revdex.com website
