Auto dealer fraud:agreed to & signed 75/mo contract. Dealer fraudulently sent in 84/mo contract to finance co, resulting in 9 extra erroneous payments
Agreed to 75 months of $569.31 payments. Dealer's rep set contract before us to sign. Discovered that what he brought was for 84 months $569.30/mo. When called to his attention, he ran another contract for correct time/amounts. He as well as we signed new papers and we have a copy of it. Dealer sent 84 month contract to financial institution and apparently destroyed 75 month contract. Fraud from switching contested contract for agreed contract results in a requirement of an additional 9 months of payments for us (9x$569.30=5123.70). The financial institution informed us that if the dealer would correct the errors on new papers, they would redo their payment schedules. We met with another dealer rep (other is no longer with company) several times in December 2019. He said that he would have to meet with the owner. He advised us that she said that they had a valid contract and that she was not going to do anything. We requested that we be scheduled to meet with the owner but she has refused to meet with us. The fact that we have a copy of the "agreed to" 75 months contract is being totally ignored by the dealership. Our honesty and character are being put into question. How did we come by this copy. The contract form is odd sized and could have only been generated by the dealership. How did the dealer rep's signatures get on the form and why doesn't that mean anything to the dealership and its owner?

Desired Outcome

1. Resubmit to financial institution papers that result in "agreed to" 75 months of $569.31 each payments. 2. If financial institution is no longer willing because of time passed to make corrections, dealership will give us money to make up difference between "agreed to" 75 months contract and 84 months fraudulent contract. 84 months contract is fraudulent because it should not have been sent to financial institution. It should have been destroyed. Additional nine month will cost us $5123.70(see detail complaint).

Business is Long Chev *** of *** as shown in attachment to complaint, not . Address is the same as Long bought out Ledford. Long has contacted us and agreed to pay four of nine extra payments. This being the best they said they could do, we accepted. They have made the four payments to the finance company; therefore, we consider the matter settled. Thanks for you help.

Don Ledford's refuses to issue me a refund check on 3 cancelled warranties. I purchased 3 warranties from Don Ledford's Auto Park when I purchased my truck on 3-18-16. I cancelled these warranties on 1-3-18. *** sent Don Ledford word to issue me a check in the amount of $3,938.95 on 1-12-18. As of 2-21-18, Don Ledford is refusing to issue the check. Every time I call, I am told 2 to 3 more weeks by , or I cannot get him on the phone and he does not return the call. Now, he says that the check will not be issued until after a pending sale to , although *** disputes that the new owner will be liable.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a check in the amount of $3,938.95 for the refund of my cancelled warranties as soon as possible.

I finally received a refund check on April 7, 2018 from a lawyer who is paying debtors from the sale. You can close my complaint. Thank goodness, this disreputable company is out of business.

I bought and traded in a car on January 5th, as of Today February 22 Don Ledford has not paid off My Trade. Don Ledford Himself told Me that He did not have the money to pay off My Trade and 6 others. He said He was selling the Dealership and would have the money then. He continued to do Business a collect more Trades that He is not paying off. And I believe the Sale of the Dealership fell through.

deceptive promotion. Mail flyer with scratch off numbers said match number to prize & win. confirm on website. my number matched $500.00 prize. Got confirmation on website & email from dealer to come in & claim my prize. Went there 22 Aug & was told I was eligible to enter sweepstakes. This is totally misleading & deceptive.

I purchased a vehicle from Don Ledford in Athens on 7/5/2017. They have yet to pay off my vehicle that was traded in for the amount of $24,318.89. I purchased a 2011 Chevy Tahoe from Don Ledford Autopark in Athens on 7/5/2017. I traded in a 2014 Toyota 4-Runner with the amount of $24,318.89 to be paid by Don Ledford. I received an email from *** stating that I had a late payment on 7/31/2017. I called Don Ledford 7/31/2017, 8/1/2017, and 8/2/2017. I left messages every one of these days with no return call. On 8/3/2017, I spoke with *** who stated he would check on the matter and call me back that evening. On 8/4/2017, I AGAIN called Don Ledford and spoke to *** who stated that they have had problems with getting payoffs paid. He states he talked to Don Ledford himself and they would cut a check today to *** and would call me with a tracking number. I haven't received a call with a tracking number. It has been past the 30 days for a payoff to be paid in .

Desired Outcome

Pay off the Toyota 4-Runner and adjust credit report if needed.

WILL NOT pay off trade in vehicle. May 26 purchased new vehicle; June 15 loan not paid off spoke w/*** at D. Ledford will tell mgr; June 16 spoke w/D. Ledford said would take care of Mon.; June 21 spoke w/*** voice mail at 12:30 loan not paid off; June 22 spoke w/Don Ledford said has been mailed; July 5 received call from *** collections loan not paid off gave him info rec from D. Ledford when mailed; Jul 6 spoke with *** D. Ledford sent check with no endorsement and has not sent replacement.

Mr. is right this payoff took too long to get sent out. We sincerely apologize for the amount of time it took. We did refund Mr. a payment that came out of his account and the vehicle is paid off. Unfortunately, we had a change in administrative staff that resulted in the delay and we are working to correct those short-comings. We would be more than happy to write a letter to the credit bureaus and offer free select services to Mr. through our service department. Once again we sincerely apologize.
