Dear [redacted] [redacted] purchased a Chevrolet Cruze on 6/2/with 112,milesAt the time of purchase, she was aware that no warranty was included with her purchase of this vehicle and signed two documents stating that the vehicle was purchased as isThese supporting documents are attached to this email [redacted] brought her vehicle in for service on 1/20/at 130,miles for a service engine indicator and drivability concernAccording to [redacted] , the vehicle was jerking when taking off from a stop at timesIt was diagnosed by our repair facility that the temperature sensor in the valve body of the transmission had failed [redacted] declined to repair the vehicle at that timeOn 5/2/at 132,miles, [redacted] had her vehicle towed to the dealership to have these repairs completedHowever, further damage had been done to the transmission since her initial diagnosis and replacing just the valve body would not repair her vehicleThe additional miles she had driven the vehicle caused further internal damage to the transmissionOur repair facility advised to replace the transmissionAfter informing [redacted] of the additional required repairs, she declined replacing the transmissionShe was not charged any additional fees for the second diagnosisTrapp Chevrolet regrets [redacted] 's circumstancesHowever, we do not feel any financial obligation for the repairs on her vehicle and assume no responsibility.Sincerely,Heinke T***President Trapp Cadillac Chevrolet, Inc

If qualified persons were giving the appraisals then it shouldn't have taken times longer than originally proposedIf I were told it could possibly take over weeks, much less weeks, I wouldn't have even accepted the rental because I won't drive it without the coverageWether or not you make things right by paying for some of the overage charges, the experience was still lousy and unacceptableHowever, being Trapp doesn't feel responsible for the additional time, costs, and enormous inconveniences we have endured, I have no problem spreading the message around to warn others of the poor business practices at Trapp

The vehicle in question is a Hummer Hwhich is a unique vehicleIt is years old and had 108,miles at the time of sale. The customer was fully aware it was being sold as is with no warranties, written or impliedThe customer signed a disclaimer of warranties form when purchasing

I completely understand your frustrationUnfortunately, body shop time quotes are strictly estimates based upon what we can see on the surfaceIn your case, as we were breaking the car down for repair, we found substantial hidden damages under the outer skinThe original estimate was $and
the additional damage found totaled $When we discover damages not originally estimated, we have to notify your insurance companyThey then send out a representative to inspect what was discovered and file a supplemental estimateUnfortunately, this takes timeAfter they approve the claim, which can take days or weeks, we are then authorized to order any additional parts needed to complete the repairsYour insurance company payed for the total duration you were in the rental car which shows the amount of time was not out of line for the magnitude of repairs neededThe monies you are asking for is the optional insurance on the rental car you elected to purchaseWe do not feel responsible for this optional coverage

We are standing by our initial response and we will not repair the vehicle at our expense. Tell us why here...

If qualified persons were giving the appraisals then it shouldn't have taken 4.5 times longer than originally proposed. If I were told it could possibly take over 2 weeks, much less 4 weeks, I wouldn't have even accepted the rental because I won't drive it without the coverage. Wether or not you make things right by paying for some of the overage charges, the experience was still lousy and unacceptable. However, being Trapp doesn't feel responsible for the additional time, costs, and enormous inconveniences we have endured, I have no problem spreading the message around to warn others of the poor business practices at Trapp.
